Y'all inspired my wife and I to buy an RV. We left the lot with a 38 foot travel trailer and 30 minutes later we side swiped an utility pole... thank GOD we only damaged the awning and the door, but it went straight to the shop. Word of advice to new RV owners, sh*t happens. Don't forget why you bought your RV and don't let craziness keep you from achieving your daydreams.

Swing by a window tint shop and see if they’ll give you a scrap of clear 3M Clear Bra. Even if they charged you for it, a remnant piece would be cheap. Cut it to size and stick it behind the knife block. You’ll never know it’s there and you’ll never scratch the stainless steel! Love the channel, thank you!!!

The tiny home guys used to preach about what they called pairing down. It’s a philosophy of minimalism to get people to think as minimalists because you’re going to be spending a lot of time in a motor home or trailer so you have to learn to live on and with less. I think it’s great that you’re showing everyone how to make the most of what space is available.

FYI: museum putty or (3m putty) I believe holds things in place. I check it once in a while. I Have used this for years. Holds decorative pieces in place traveling down the road. 😊 Also I use a spongy shelf liner it's a criss-cross pattern ( you cut to size) on the counter under the coffee pot. It stays in place traveling. 😮😊

Here's a little hint about floor carpet runners. We keep two in the back of our vehicle, and fold them over and place them on top of any coolers we're taking along; they help to insulate the lid of the cooler quite well.

I store my can goods in a basket on the floor under our table. I write what they are in marker on the lids. That way it makes it easier to find what I'm looking for. I also made baskets for the open shelf above our beds that taper down towards the wall. I used plastic canvas, I know, ugh, but I used earth tone variegated yarns and they look nice

Great tips. We try to consider if items have more than one purpose. A 5 gallon bucket can be very handy, but use it for storage too. On travel days, a small waste basket can hold the coffee pot; fill the sinks with items from the counters, lay items on the bed, etc. We have a nice night light, but for. travel days we unplug it so it does not fall onto the counter. Baskets are our friends. I also store clothing in the plastic bags from sheets (bedding sets) - keeps items contained and the bag was free! Command hooks even inside closets and the bathroom vanity. Also, soft sided small packs or even a kids lunchbox can work for storage (from my favorite dollar store!). Safe travels!

Our caravan (thats what they are called here in the Netherlands 😅) is coming out of storage next week and the week after that our first Adventure is starting. There are a couple of things to organize but overall we did a good job. We had 2 big 3 month trips. We have seen Italy and Portugal and Spain. The rest are shorter trips but also fun. I think Europe can learn a lot from America when it comes to camping. Most caravans do have cassette toilets but no showers. Only campers have those. Aldough the big ones are starting to have full bathrooms. It's all about the size of your car and the capacity to tow. Most cars in Europe are smaller then in America. So they keep the caravans light. No grey or black water tanks... Just fresh water and thats enough for a few days cooking and washing dishes... No shower on board. When Covid hit, a lot of people started looking for other ways of having a vacation so camping is booming. Last year there were almost no campers or caravan available due to such high demands. And thats noticeable at camp sites. 5 Years ago you only had to make reservations in high season but now its so much more crowded. Never the less .. We love it. Thanks for taking us with you on your adventures... I've been following you guys since the beginning 😅 Lot's of love from the Netherlands, Daniëlle 🙋

Here's my suggestion for 5:26... next time you have some down time in a bigger city search for a PPF (paint protection film) shop, they cover cars and trucks with this film to protect them from rock chips and scratches. They usually have tons of left over scraps they can sell you, usually very inexpensive, that's if they'll even charge you for it all. It'll take literally just a few minutes to cut and install, and once it dries and adheres it'll stop the metal from scratching, and if the film gets bad over time you can just replace it with fresh. The two big companies are 3M and XPEL. I have used this film on more than automobiles, I used on a couple of boats and trailers at rub and high risk impact porst, and it really holds up and does the job. Hope this helps.

These tour/organization videos are like crack to me. We are looking to retire early in a few more years and RV for a while traveling the country to decide where we want to finally end up. Living in 4,000 sq ft now and feel like we don't have enough space, so going to be a monumental task to downsize to an RV, so I take notes and plan to hopefully be able to make it happen. Haven't yet found the RV with room for my woodshop, but still looking :)
