I’ve been towing and backing trailers up since I was 15 years old, I’m 61 now. Biggest mistake I see people do when backing up is turn their heads. Always use your mirrors. And when towing through tight cattle chutes always keep looking straight ahead not left and right.

I’ve heard that twisting the chains can make them more susceptible to breakage if you have a disconnect event. Dragging chain is bad, of course. Many people recommend removing links if you need to shorten the chains every time.

I am thinking about buying the 2023 Toyota Sequoia SUV. I am debating whether I would need the optional tow mirror to pull the Airstream 20X. Upgrade tow mirror looks big and bulky on the SUV.
