Hey Jerry Trying to catch up on my videos to watch. Love your stuff. I could add to what you described here is if you have either Apple Car Play or Android Auto once you plug your phone in your (above) will connect to your vehicles GPS and everything you saved along the way in Google will display on it. Its a great asset.

Thanks a bunch Paul. I have an older head unit in our truck without Car Play or Auto. Was looking at a new tablet. Strongly considering a new head unit with large screen and Car Play instead. Less dash real estate and really want the screen integration. Appreciate you watching the channel.

Jerry, you always supply such great, informative information. Do you have any tips on securing your home and property for an extensive amount of time away? Alot can happen in a couple of months when you're not home. Safe travels!
@iLoveRVlife3 жыл бұрын
Best advice I can share is to install a few WiFi cameras inside that have motion detection and have someone check you home on a weekly basis.

Great video! Just to be clear, this is really a points of interest tool that you can use when trip planning. It's not actually a trip planner like RV Trip Wizard which allows you to plan routes between locations.

Hello Jerry, Thanks for the videos.. I enjoy all the ones you put out.. We are thinking of giving the Allstays Pro a try because of the features it has..I do have a question, how do you drive thru Atlanta?? I have driven thru Atlanta several times in my truck but not with an 5th wheel.. Whats your secret to a less stress route (if there is one) to drive thru Atlanta.. Thanks again for your videos..
@iLoveRVlife3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Kevin. We drive through Atlanta all the time. Best times are Sat or Sun before 10am. You can zip through. We drove though I75 north to Atlanta going to I85 north. Mon at 10:00, did the I75, I675, I285E, to I85 north. May have tapped the breaks 2 or 3 times. If I75 north or south, take I285 west. That morning weekend slot is the key. If during the week, again the 10am slot works - post morning rush and no noon traffic.

"Jerry, I really enjoyed the video. Would it be accurate to say that this is more of an interest-focused tool rather than a trip-planning tool? I have RV Trip Hazard, which enables you to plan routes between locations."
@iLoveRVlife Жыл бұрын
Thanks. It is. Focused on destinations vs routes.

VERY timely. Does this also show State Parks? I'm about to plan a 4-6 week trip for next March/April!
@iLoveRVlife3 жыл бұрын
It does. State, Federal, COE, municipal, private. Last count was 36,000 US campgrounds.

Thank you that was extremely helpful. Curious, did you try RV Trip Wizard? What is your opinion of one versa the other?
@iLoveRVlife3 жыл бұрын
It’s a good program. We’ve created a simple process for travel, plus gives us the ability to use an Android tablet, share routes and locations. Here’s a video of our end to end process for route planning kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHnRdJljoLF-m8U

Hi Jerry, does Allstay Pro route you based on your RV size (height, weight)? or do you need to manually plan your route and manually look up low bridges, etc.
@iLoveRVlife3 жыл бұрын
It's a giant database of travel info. I still have to layout my route. I use Google maps for my Andriod tablet and share with family so they'll know where we're at and progress.

Hey Jerry, just curious if you have ever looked at RVTrip Wizard and compared to Allstays Pro?
@iLoveRVlife3 жыл бұрын
I’ve looked at it. We have a simple process that we use that allows us to share our routes with family and others. Big fan of Google maps, ability to add waypoints, share progress and location with family while we’re traveling and it works great with our GPS equipped 8” Android tablet. We use Google calendar to keep all information about trip, stops, confirmation, etc. All is at a fingertip access for reference on a phone, tablet or desktop when needed. Also share this with family for those “just in case” times. It’s simple to manage, easy to share. Allstays gives the the research and Google the trip routing and documentation. Here’s the steps if interested kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHnRdJljoLF-m8U

Jerry, Great software. After you research stops, does the software allow one to build a route with all the stops? Thanks for the stickers and your videos.
@iLoveRVlife3 жыл бұрын
I have a difference process once we have all sites located. For example, if we have 3 months of stops, we book in advance. Google maps for routes and calendar for confirmation. We like Google maps and the ability to easily add waypoints. More in the video. With calendar, I share with Joan and other family members. This way they can find us just in case. More on how we layout our travel here kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHnRdJljoLF-m8U

Thank Jerry. Wow! That video link to your trip planning instructions with google calender was outstanding. Great information! I just found your site about 5 months ago,(Eastbank Campground vid), and have been binge watching your other playlists. I missed this video link. Thanks again and please let us know if you ever are coming back the Eastbank, we have a farm right next door in north Grandridge, FL and would love the meet you and Joan.

Thanks a bunch. This years plans are going to be around the east coast mountains. We’re due for a southbound trip though. We’ll definitely let you know if we’re close.
