Aww such a great video!! I love seeing all the real life stuff! It looked like a great expo. Jason always cracks me up. Someday I hope to be as cool as you, Julie 😉 Although, I’m 40 so I guess I don’t have much time to catch up. And my husband and I only have two kids (would love a big family) but we are still praying that if it’s the Lords will that He blesses us with more (I had my last miscarriage at 16 weeks) But there is always peace and hope that only comes from Him. It’s such a joy to watch your videos and always be inspired by you. 🥰🧡 I always appreciate your honesty and realness!

Wow! What a great video- made me think a little of our vacation time with 7 in a car and we all about fell out at each stop when doors were open. And to visit new friends with all their girls-then the musical at the end. So beautiful-thank you for the share

I loved the "Does everyone have shoes?" comment. I can relate so much with having 8 kiddos. I can't tell you the times we have gotten somewhere and someone has no shoes despite me making sure before we left and some how somebody last second took them off and left them home.

All we could afford when our children were growing up was tent camping and it was WORK. Not vacation for me anyway! Lol 😂 Everytime we’d camp a big rain would come and our tent would get flooded. We live in Florida so also very hot. I remember a time I was 9mos pregnant with our last child and we camped and picked strawberries then got home and made jam and froze the rest. That was hard being in my condition. But we had so many wonderful memories camping! It’s so much fun and meeting other campers was fun too. Kids love to run around and thier favorite was at night around the fire. Looks like your children enjoyed themselves. Making Memories is the best!🦋 How nice of these people to host you! Oh my goodness how sweet those children are! Beautiful evening you will never forget!
@jasonandjulie2 жыл бұрын
Oh my yes! I’ll bet that was a big job for you! We haven’t tent camped since our oldest was a toddler.

So I think it is a year now. I started viewing right as you showed a video about attending an Expo. I am older and enjoy all the things the kids do and hope to keep following your family in the future. My mom was one of eleven and they slept 3 and 4 children to a bed and they had a coal stove and walked the 3 or 4 miles to town as no vehicle was big enough for them all. Grandpa used the car for work.

We’ve moved and now living in our camper, there’s 4 kids 2 adults and my 138lb dog and it’s a tight squeeze. We got a camper that has 4 bunks and the master room but I’m struggling to cook in this kitchen 😩.. I know it must be tough trying to go to events but y’all are amazing at handling everything 🥰 My land doesn’t have well or septic or electricity but luckily it has a really nice creek so atleast the animals have water. It’s going to be an adventure for sure.

Are you going to try to get utilities for your land? How are you keeping your food cool? How are you able to drink water or have water to stay clean?
@Maybe_Crazy052 жыл бұрын
@@ryanm7249 we’re staying at a camp ground that has hook ups for the camper. But yes we will get all that at the property.

We are only about 30 mins from where the Expo was :) We have a similar story as well. We have lived full time in our camper with our 2 boys for alomost 5 years. We finally bought raw land in Feb. and moved unto it and have been off grid as we work towards getting electricity. Plans to build a house someday!

You all do great with whatever situation your in. How exciting to be able to go to your new friends, have dinner and be able to stay with the RV. Glad you introduced their kids. Dinner looked amazing. Then your family was able to entertain them with music! What a glorious day. Looks like they are expecting #10 like your family. Fun time for all!🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻

Mom question: how do you handle little people having emotional meltdowns when you're away from home? And how do you manage if more than one child does that at once? Or have you mastered avoiding those moments? Either way if you have tricks of the trade to share please do. And I suppose you have a good neighbor for a farm sitter while you were away. I can't imagine someone taking care of my 12 animal pen locations twice a day for us to travel. Feed, hay, water, eggs, milking etc. I'm happily homebound, but hubby likes to go on trips. Just so you know my prying questions are because I glean from your experience. And I forgot where you said your kids do online music education? I use Hoffman academy for piano, but I have one daughter that is interested in violin also.
@jasonandjulie2 жыл бұрын
We did the Voetberg Academy lessons for guitar and violin. Yes we did find a farm sitter! It’s a teen that my daughter used to be in 4H with. We were gone such a short time that we were able to make it pretty easy on her by stocking most of animals with extra food and water. We are hoping to take a longer trip this December though so we’ll see how that goes. I wish I had a magic easy button for kid meltdowns. But it’s not always that way. With the littlest ones distractions can help, food can help. But not always! Sometimes you just have to get out of there as quick as you can. Lol. I try to anticipate the meltdown before it comes and so avoid it if possible. I can usually sense when my kids are getting too overtired, hungry, etc. and I try to take care of the need right away.
