I have watched so many of your videos (when I should be working:) and when you highlight the couples campers I always have to promote ours, because it's so perfect. We purchased the Coachman Clipper CFQ in 2023, and have no regrets. It embodies every feature that you highlight as important: a walk around queen, a large bathroom, good storage, and no slide. We really didn't know much about campers when we got the bug, and a combination of my research and good luck led us to our camper. For two people and a small dog it is PERFECT. At first I was drawn to the Murphy Bed, but having used ours for a year, I really don't think that we would be putting a bed up and down, and one of the first things I purchased was a new mattress for our bed and like that it is stationary. Love your videos, and I have learned a lot from them, and just enjoy your reviews.

Hey Boss....another great video. I really like how you showcase a couple units within certain parameters. I hadn't thought about the "why" when it came to the dinette placement, but I knew that I liked it on the "fire pit side", I just hadn't thought of it that way. I'm running a 2015 Hideout by Keystone, 178LHS. I tell ya, I have yet to find one with such a spacious bathroom, even in larger units. And the overall layout is so user friendly, and it has everything one needs. Perfect for me and the Mrs. and the dog...Golden Retriever.

Hi Mike and Susan! I liked number 2 the Coachmen until I saw the Forest River the last one until you mentioned the outlet above the sink. But no big deal could probably rearrange it. Not sure. It’s git lots of storage. The Coachmen a 50/50 with no sink but it’s not a deal breaker. It’s still very well liked. Thank you Mike and Susan. Hope you have a great week and travel safe.

Hopefully, the prices shown were MSRP and these trailers can be purchased for MUCH less!

Thanks Susan and Mike, good reviews. These three are under under the Berkshire - Hathaway umbrella which has a much better service after sale reputation, unlike another big one. I'm a bit too tall to be in any of these for more than a few days so the initial investment doesn't add up for me. I wonder why they just don't put a foldaway sink in the head of these short things. Paying 20k plus and having to buy a retractable shower curtain, cabinet hardware, icemaker, cargo netting, TV, or any "low" ticket item is a joke. I would always buy used pre pandemic any way. Thanks for taking your time to share these reviews and stay safe out there.
@RVBlogger5 ай бұрын
We recommend buying used if possible so you can save a ton of money! plus RVs depreciate like crazy so why buy new and have your rig do nothing but go down in value. Thanks for watching! Mike

Hi Mike and Sue, Do you think you could do 3 trailers that are handicapped friendly? I have no cartilage in my knees so I can't really walk. I have an electric scooter, walker and wheelchair to get around and I would love to buy a trailer so I can travel, too. Are there any on the market that might work for people like me?
@RVBlogger5 ай бұрын
I'll be honest...we probably can't find three trailers that are handicap friendly. Most trailer owners will need to buy an after market product to get into the RV because the steps are problematic. Then the doorways etc have no ADA requirements so the manufacturers just don't build most units to meet these standards. Sorry I don't have a better answer. This is a perfect question to ask in our Private Facebook Group called RV Camping for Newbies. I bet if you ask the question to the group you will get some great responses. I'm not sure if it's just me? I'm fairly new to travel trailer camping, however, have done many trips over past couple of years in a 17 foot trailer that far blows away any of these for what is important to me? I have YET to see lately, any small trailers with the sofa/dinette located at the back end of the trailer with a back view window? When we camp, and back in, usually we find a spot on a river or lake.. that we can sit and enjoy the view day or night. I don't want a view of the trailer parked beside me! And the trailer has a queen bed also at the front. As well as dry bathroom, two burner stove, fridge, microwave and countertops.

Little campers used to be so cute years ago, with cupboards everywhere n windows everywhere, now today all u get is 2 windows n shelves for cupboards. At least the last one had proper shower wall paneling vs just the water resistant wall board paneling. But no dining table seat backs 😵💫. They are reminding me of how pop up tent campers use to be 'minimal n foam boxy' looking. A shame, innovation is now going backwards here. 🍻

Whoever designed that Forest River Salem camper must’ve designed it in a Friday afternoon at quitting time. Looks and seems they just threw some stuff in a trailer, and said, okay crew, it’s time to crack some cold ones and start the weekend. Gotta lean to eat, or get hit by a door. Gotta lean to take a crap, or dislocate your back. Even the mattress looks like they had left overs from five years ago, and just slapped it in. For the price they are asking, they should have put more thought into it.
@davereinhardt18015 ай бұрын
Being a Forest River the offending parts will probably fall off anyway so those might not be a big deal.

I won't comment on the last 4 years of smaller campers, because there have been enough comments by others covering the "Covid Era" campers. But, what I will comment on is my 2015 Hideout by Keystone. It is a 178LHS and comes in at 21 feet. 9 years old, no leaks, and everything still works. At this time, there is one thing needing tending to, and that is that it is time for a new awning. Check out the walk thru videos on this if you are not familiar with it. It has everything you need, and some wants also. And you will be hard pressed to find a bigger bathroom, even on larger units.
