I always dream about heading out and exploring the southwest. I don’t because I can’t afford it and I don’t care about going alone. But!!! As I sit her watching your videos with the perfect music and drone footage I realize that I’m actually seeing more than I would from the road! Plus saving gas money!! I do want to pet a donkey though! Eat some good food, drink some wine and watch an Arizona sunset! Thanks for sharing Russ. 🌵 🎶 🍷

Hi Russ, what a ride. Down by that burro you stopped at on the way to Oatman is a place we used to go swimming. Up under those trees. I used to work as an assayer there at the Goldroad Mine. There are actually tunnels under 66. One night on break i was out watching this 48' semi come down that hill. Let's say my break lasted longer then expected; we were all out watching him. He made it. That hairpin he backed up and pulled forward a few times. Great journey!
I enjoyed this episode of What is Oatman Arizona Famous For? Good old Oatman AZ. Love it! Looking forward to rolling into town again sometime soon.

I never get tired of this area and to see drone footage are views that many people have never seen. This country has such a variety of landscapes. Desert mountain areas with old roads like "66" are classics. Brought to you by R'ver TV. Too cool, lol. 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️

When you aim the camera on your drone straight down, I almost get dizzy and hold onto the arms of my chair out of fear ... lol ! Gawd, your drone views are awesome, Russ. I have stopped several times in Seligman (at the Shell gas station along I-40 and at the KOA campground) but Oatman is a place I still have to go after 15 visits, maybe next year. RICHARD

I was through this area 50 years ago when it was more alive just a li' bit-spiffier, let's say-but the old stuff might have been scruffier back then than today. So good for 'em on that. A young man evaluates things different than a geezer. Anyway, it's on my list now. Maybe this fall. I think your channel has some of the best, most thoughtful motor touring videography on KZbin.

Hi Russ, I enjoyed your videos. One day you could showcase Bullhead City. Bullhead City have some great parks. There is the Rotary Park. It's big with a beach, walking paths, soccer & baseball fields just to name a few activities. There is Veterans Memorial park too. And of course the Colorado River.
@milt62082 жыл бұрын
My brother has lived in Bullhead City for 30 years and I have been up Silver Creek so many times to get up there I can't count. Very cool place just to get something to drink while 4×4ing old miner roads like we do. But when you go up there you have to go over Sitgreaves Pass and go to Cool Springs. It is cool too.

That road from Kingman to Oatman is terrible and nerve-wracking. Its a road I will never take. I'll go from the westside up, its much much better. Thanks for stopping and showing Oatman. I risked the drive to Oatman and my husband didn't want to stop. I was soooo mad after that darn drive.

10:20 wow great view of deadman's curve... and the grave markers. never counted but there is a lot. you can really see how the old 66 road that's just dirt now went and turned so sharp with such a cliff... I've walked that. thanks for the view.

Yours are the first videos I watched, maybe one or two years. I LOVE burros. I get nostalgic. Can't locate my friend, I showed him your videos and he started watching, loved your videos. He moved closer to be near his son & haven't heard from him. He was 76, Viet Nam vet & I think he passed. Wonder if Vets admin would know. I'm 66, feels like getting old/ no one cares too much about old timers 🙄 There was a SCARY movie that was in desert, The CAR, so scary! Good to see you on KZbin

We love your channel, and even travel a lot in your footsteps :o) One question though… you don’t do your own oil changes? I own 3 diesels and other that the timing belt service etc… I do most services myself. If you have a hard time getting under the van or car, these days they have those vacuum pumps that suck the oil in like 10 minutes. Hihi… just saying, you look so handy, and you can save a ton of money! The dealer charges us $399 (with coupon) for an oil change, I do it for 60 with the correct oil and filter, etc… Anyway, love your channel, the kids are also looking forward each time there is a new video :o) Last trip we did was Page, Kanab, Bryce Canyon, etc… other than the closer to home like Prescott and such… Blessings!
