I wintered in Dolan Springs, just a few miles further north of Chloride and I've camped up on Big Wash road many times. The road is fine all the way, just a few spots you need to slow down. The campground that is back the farthest is wonderful and well kept. Great views, pit toilet, clean. Me and my 4 legged pals loved the area. Thanks for the memories.

Hello! I'm an explorer and photographer from the area around Chloride, and I wanted to inform you of an interesting item you missed in the video - the old railroad depot. It is labled the Santefe Depot on the Google map, however, it was actually built by the Arizona and Utah Railroad that served the mining interests in the area in the late 1860's. It sits just north of Schuylkill Ave on what is the eastern end of 2nd Ave, almost directly north of the post office and Russell's Store. Make another trip back sometime and add that to your videos. - Frank C.

This brings back the memories. I lived in Oatman in the 90s, and had a guitar picker friend who played in Chloride every so often. Always had a great time there, got to know some of the residents there, and we'd see them in Oatman occasionally. Thanks for this vid!

You got me hooked on Arizona and the beauty of the desert! Hope to see you next week at the game store in Quartzsite we’re going and visit the museum and see what happening. Then on to Tucson to explore and then Tombstone to see the museums and historical sites. Then back to Kingman and see what the property looks like and water costs and availability. Not use to that in California having property and water must be delivered.

Moved to AZ in 2013 and Chloride used to be a old western town. Now with all the building and people moving to AZ we are loosing the old west feel to the towns, Nice video. The guys that did the shoot out in Outman moved their show to Chloride. Now that the old copper mine is being rebuilt with new equipment and should start mining in 2026 and employ up to 600 people. It is not far from Chloride

People are so weird. There's nothing "neat" about that town. It's just an old, run down, poor town no different than the ghetto in a city...
