Thanks for sharing Route 66. I grew up 1/2 block off of Route 66 in Lincoln, Illinois, on the north side of town. I remember looking out of my northern bedroom window toward the north on Christmas Eve and seeing lights coming in the dark. I was sure it was Santa coming, so I tried to go to sleep really fast, not wanting him to skip my house. Much later, I realized what I had seen was car lights on Route 66. Yes, Route 66 is special to me. Thanks again for sharing.

🙋♀️Hello Russ! I'm excited about the road trip! Picture postcard perfect looking out over the land to the beautiful blue mountains, the blue sky, the greenery starting in the variegated browns of the dessert. Just awesome scenery you have to enjoy. Oatman seemed busy. The donkeys were missing. In a place where you always see donkeys, is that unusual not to see any? I enjoyed the ride over to Oatman. 👍 Tried to join your live stream, got to hear very little, the screen went white, dropped the entire channel, had to go back onto you tube. I'm okay watching channels like today. But it kicks me out(?)/drops me(?) the second someone makes a pledge on live streams. Sure beats all I ever seen. I don't understand it. Have a nice day.

When I was eleven, my parents moved us to California. We came the whole way on Rte 66. First time I'd ever been west of Chicago, so you can imagine how AZ looked to an 11-year-old. The thing is, I remember 66 as a big, wide, open highway, on which we traveled at ungodly speeds (>60 mph! Was that even legal?) And today it seems like someone has, at great expense, ripped up all of 66 and replaced it with precarious little 2-lane back roads! The other thing I remember is that all across the country, gas was 23, 24, 25 cents, but in AZ it was 14 or 15 cents.

Why do you have likes/dislikes turned off?
@shellchenonceau69873 жыл бұрын
Sometimes channels are demonetized against their will (censorship), and sometimes the creators choose not to make money, so no need to have a "like" button.
