Thank you for taking the time to video this. I was in a Freightliner FL70 with a 40 ft gooseneck flatbed trailer and had to go that way all the way down to Roosevelt, at night, foggy and sleeting a little bit....smh...my first and only time I ever been through there. Now I see exactly what I missed..sad face, Anyway thank you, Now I have to get back to see it in the daylight.

When I was a boy we went to Flaming Gorge quite a bit. We saw antelope, prairie dogs, saw other wild life.. We fished and caught some big trout. We launched model rockets and shot at targets with our 22's. Its where our family built some great memories.

Thanks for visiting Utah. Lived here for 48 years AND we were driving on I-6 coming back from New Mexico. Think we just missed you. We came home on Friday! I did notice white van in Moab with a family traveling. Looked like they fixed their van up like you did for their family. We live in Payson Utah. Wave if you come by this way next year!

Hi again from NSW Australia. I regard these videos, the second best thing to being there. Well done Russ. That arch bridge is very similar to the one at Hite, which, if I remember correctly, crosses the Colorado River

FYI, John Wesley Powell started his historic trip through the Grand Canyon just north of there at Green River, Wyoming, on May 24, 1869... shortly before Russ graduated from elementary school! 🤣. So, I guess that means that the Green River joins with the Colorado downstream, and it happens near a little town called Moab. You've heard of that town, haven't you?
@Clawson_customs4 ай бұрын
Ya thr river runs down thru a small town green river Utah and then meets the Colorado River below moab. I have took a jet boat there a few times years ago

Built by US Govt to build the dam, town has recently been privatized. 23:35 Cart Creek Bridge

Judging by the striations in that rock 20:00 it appears that's an I deal spot for that dam. The upward tilt pretty much keys that thing to the canyon walls. Betcha it's one of the strongest dams in the world!
