Ever had anyone decide not to review u and not respond when you reach out to ask them to review? Does the app ever release the final payment or do u just not get paid for that renter ?

@NomadJunkies
@NomadJunkies 2 жыл бұрын
@@aarondavis5535 Hey Aaron, our van is not winterize, so we don't rent it it in winter and drive to Florida. I know that some states like Arizona, Texas and Florida are busy all year round. If you have a winterized RV you can also renting all year round but I will think that there is less demand in winter. :-)

This is a great video! And thank you for the recommendation I hadn’t heard of RvEasy- my question is HOW DID YOU FINANCE YOUR VAN? I’m trying to buy one to get started with this business and so far, the credit unions and banks I’ve spoken to won’t finance a camper van.
@NomadJunkies
@NomadJunkies 2 жыл бұрын
Have you checked with a RV dealer? Often they offer financings, better deals than direct with banks. It’s usually between 3.99% up to 10%. We got our with 3.99%

How does pick up /drop off work? Do you have to meet the people each time?
@NomadJunkies
@NomadJunkies 2 жыл бұрын
Hello! You can offer delivery as extra $ but in general you gave the renter a meeting point and you will follow the steps on the app (take pictures), show them the features of the RV, signatures. On the return, it’s easier if you are there to make sure there is no claim, but the renters can also drop it and you can complete the return on the app with pics like 7 days later or something like that. I know it can be annoying to be available to meet the renters but it’s not like a car rental, there is a lot to explain usually!

Are there bad seasons where your RV doesn't rent?
@NomadJunkies
@NomadJunkies 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I stored it for the winter, so basically, it makes money only 6 months a year. But when it's available, it's almost all the time booked, let's say 80% of the time. :-)

Yes we do. We included 4 hours and charge 3$ per extra hour. In general, owner will charge and limit use of the generator.

Do you only rent it out in the summer months?
@NomadJunkies
@NomadJunkies 3 жыл бұрын
Yes from May to October because it's not winterized, so if the temperature goes below freezing point, it will hurt the unit, so far we are storing it indoor for the winter, and may go to Arizona and California next winter. :-) So long story short, it just depends of your unit and where you are. A lot of people rent all year long like in Florida.

We have an Airbnb and if I have to wait for reviews to get paid I will never get my $$$. Airbnb charges 3% I just saw rvezy charges 20% holy cow that’s a lot!!! Maybe we won’t rent it out it doesn’t sound worth it.

For your info as well, you will never loose the 50%! We talked to RVezy and they said : ''Renters are required to leave a review for their owner. However, if a renter does not complete this step, it will expire after 7 days and automatically complete the booking. In addition, we reach out to the renter 48-hours after their closeout phase starts and urge them to review the owner and complete the rental. '' You can use the calculator here to find out how much you can make with your unit or a future unit : bit.ly/calculator-rv-money

Excellent video, went over a lot of questions I had in my mind. One thing I am curious about is why you didn't choose Outdoorsy? Also, the idea of waiting for people to give a review before I get paid seems like a real pain. I own a sightseeing tour business and know how difficult this can be.

Do not rent your Rv to newbies, they will be a pain in the neck, they will think that you are their servant and do everything for them
@NomadJunkies
@NomadJunkies 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jey, I disagree, RVezy got Road Assistant for renters so they don't call you directly. If you do a good job to explain your unit at the beginner, so far all my beginners renters did a great job. But I understand your concern, and you can always refuse Newbies to rent to since you have this information when you get the booking request :-)

Just used RVEZY and will not use it again. So many problems. When i callled the "help" desk couldn't help. I later found it that I had two accounts (no idea where the second one came from). I bought additiional insurance but I think I still paid for a window that was broken by a thrown rock from the tires of an 18 wheeler on HWY 40. I say I think because there was a dispute from the owner when I returned the vehicle. I was sent two emails about the "dispute" the first said I had one, the second said it had been settled. I called Rvezy and was told the person handling the dispute had left for the day and I he/she/it would return my call the next day. I didn't get a call but did get an email saying the dispute had be settled but it looks like they are keep ing 450.00 USD from my desposit. That is after I paid an additional 350.00 USD for additiional insurance. Of course it might be something else, as I have NO idea nor can I get anyone to tell me what the dispute was. I enjoyed the trip and will rent again, but I will not be using RVezy. Oh, and there is NO way to leave a review on their webpage - that should have been an indicator for piss poor performance from the beginning.

Hate to break the news to you, but that problem was with the rv owner and not rvezy. Ya they are not perfect and personally I wouldn’t use them. They are better than Facebook ads and craigslist.
