Hey guys! Burlington Bill here. Rosie and I made it home safe and sound in the last week of April after living off grid for the winter in the LTVA outside of Yuma, Az. Great winter. We now have a Brinkley and love it. We battled so many problems with our Solitude. Broken frame, shackles, springs and any number of other issues. The Grand Design people had stopped responding. The Brinkley people (many from GD) have been awesome. Good luck down the road. If ever in Wisconsin touch base. Safe travel. Burlington Bill busking across the country and on You Tube.

Hi Guys - good episode. Sorry about your finger Jacqueline - at least you are not stuck with that original brace. Tendons/ligaments heal so slowly it sucks... We have passed through Deming a few times and never knew where to stay in town - that looks like a good place. Safe travels you guys!

Noticed that you had your breakaway cable connected to the handle on your hitch. That is super bad. In the event of a disconnection event that cable would likely just turn the fifth wheel hitch head and then slide off the handle. You are better off connecting to the clevis pin just behind the handle that holds the head onto the base. The silver pin through the black ears.

We seem to be able to eliminate the lifts sliding on rock by unplugging the trailer from the truck so the brakes don’t lock up on the trailer.
@TheBorderHookups8 ай бұрын
Hi Mike. We will try that. Thanks!!

Heal fast. Has to be cumbersome working on a computer. “It’s a Long Long Road” out there I only buy and pull torsion var axle trailers these days. Ease of pulling, more miles on tires and axle alignment stays true. Leaf springs are the worst. Unless you have short distances …. Just saying. Thanks Jacqueline for the Healthy Lifestyle Tips. Those Almonds and Yogurt are the best. Safe travels

It looks like you guys have just as many cows out there as we did in Island Park Idaho last summer. Did you have to run them out of your camp area in the morning? All that hitching and leveling stuff is another reason I like living full-time in a motorhome. A car being flat towed behind is so much easier just to disconnect and leave if you want to leave and if you’re not going anywhere, you just leave it hooked up thanks for the video.

Love your videos. You guys are awesome. I do have a question though. The yellow blocks that you used to help level your RV, did they have a piece of rubber on them to start with? I bought some just like that, and the first time I used them the rubber peeled off. Also do you like them? I had the Anderson blocks on our other RV, but the tires on our new one are to close. There is only about 1.5" between the tires. I had to buy different X chocks for the same reason. Keep up the good work.
@TheBorderHookups8 ай бұрын
Hi John. First of thank you!! 😀😀. The leveling ramps never had rubber on them. They did have small plastic spikes though. We have issues with them sliding a few times.

Hey Guys, beautiful day up here in St. Cloud, Mn. I got to wondering, and you don't have to answer these questions, seen Jackie went into see a doctor on this video, so what do you do for healthcare when you travel? You don't look old enough to draw Social Security, so are you retired government employees?

Liberty Liberty Liiiiberty Liberty. I retired early in January, was a Tool Designer for decades, now majority of projects are outsourced overseas, so I walked. Working part-time for a Financial Services company in the WellsFargo building. I am heading up to Wilson Lake (NW of Tofte) for a week of Boondocking the week of the 4th of July. Last year, the Walleye's were biting like mad.

Not busting on your rig. Its pretty much all Indiana built lippert junk. Another lippert fail, how many of these i have seen and that is just from rvers who put theirself out there. As bad as Americas roafs are, all these vampers need to be built with trailing arm suspension. Our roads are basically like offroading. Also lipperts frames are thin guage and do not go out to the side walls. Side walls are setting on gussetts....not good.
