Good video Duane. For us, we chose to buy an older gas class A for our first RV instead of renting because we wanted to do trips of several weeks and months. There was some discussion with the 'financial committee' about the cost, but it turned out that we could sell the old gasser for what we paid for it. Of course, we did put money into the coach, but it still came out much cheaper than renting for the several trips we took. What we learned was front engine class As are loud and 28 feet was not enough. We ended up with an older Safari diesel pusher which we've had for 7 years now and it looks like we'll be able to sell it for what we paid and maybe a little more. I'm sure you'll agree that older coaches aren't good for everyone, but if you are able and willing to do most of the work yourself, it can be personally and financially rewarding.

Hi Jerry. It sounds like you picked the perfect RV for your needs. And yes, older coaches can be a challenge, but it's not nearly as difficult when you learn to do a lot of the repair and maintenance work yourself. Thanks for sharing your ownership experience here!

Before I bought my RV I was renting for only a few weeks and nearly every rental I had ended up with them having to find me a repair shop. I spent much less time off road with my owned RV. One rent trip I spent more time having it fixed than traveling

Hi Michael. I'm not aware of any companies that offer RV leasing. There are some that will rent an RV on a long-term basis, but none that I know of that lease them.

dose anyone know a RV mechanic shop anywhere in Arizona that isn't booked up for the next month I need to get some work done on my motorhome but every one I've contacted is booked solid for at least a month would much appreciate it

Getting an appointment at an RV repair facility can be a real challenge these days. Unfortunately, I don't know of any in that area that I can recommend at this point.

You may be able to find RVs that rent on a monthly basis but you will need to work the numbers out to see if it will be less expensive than just buying one instead.
