Good topics all! If I had to do it all over again, I would have made the dealership show us how to operate all systems. Being excited about driving down the road is what they count on so they can bypass this. We were and drove off into the sunset! LOL!!

Yes, RV dealers are supposed to take the time to show you how all the systems work, but like you say, that often gets forgotten if they are busy. Have safe and happy travels!

A great set of videos. Had I known these things when I got into rv’s, I would have saved thousands of $ and a lot of stress.

My Dealer only showed me how to turn the water on and off. Also how to torque the lug nuts. Questions about the solar system, i was told to read the book. My Dealer went from promising the world to day of pickup was in such a hurry to get me off the lot. As for EMS , i huge believer. Unfortunately, i see so many RVs without . TPMS , mine is One Link. Great system. If you live in a farm area like me, I use the FS scale or i cut through our local grain mill.

Yes, I'm a huge fan of having a TPMS too. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about hydraulic motorcycle lifts to be of help to you in that area though. Thanks for leaving a nice comment!

Hi on your first video you talked about buy a good brand RV. What is that for an A-class and/or C-class under the 30 foot. We are newbie’s and want to buy one. We are not living in the US but want to go use it in the US like 4-5 months a year. Thanks and greetings, Walter from Bonaire

Great advice😊 How can people get their rigs weighed if they're traveling to multiple states? How often should rigs be weighed? Thx!
@RVInspectionAndCare9 ай бұрын
Hi Cathy. One of the most popular ways that full-time RVers weigh their rigs is to use a CAT scale which can often be found at Love's, Petro's and Travel America truck stops across the country. RVers are welcome to use the scales there just as much as commercial truckers. And as far as how often to weigh, it's hard to make a blanket statement about that. But I would recommend weighing it at least once a year. I hope that helps.

Hello mr D. I'm in the process of trying to buy a class c. Set up with dealership for inspection which they were very hesitant. This was set up several days ahead of inspection day. There were several issues that were not kosher but the main one was the rv is in winter mode. Is this normal for Phoenix valley in December, and this year is very warm so far. But should the dealership either let me know its status prior to scheduled day or de-winterized before inspection? Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
@RVInspectionAndCare9 ай бұрын
Very few RV owners winterize their RV during the winter months here in the Phoenix Valley. It just doesn't get cold enough for long enough to warrant it in the opinion of many. But the Class C you are considering will need to be unwinterized so the inspector can test the water heater, the plumbing system and the waste and fresh water tanks. If this dealer is hesitant or resistant to working with you on these matters, it is a sign that the dealer will most likely be a very poor choice for maintenance and repairs after the sale too. If you choose to go ahead with this deal, I advise you to be very careful and watch this dealer like a hawk. My experience has been that when dealers are not concerned with making sure that your buying experience is a pleasant one, you may regret working with them.

@RVInspectionAndCare I knew this sounded wrong when I found out. The inspection guy was also disappointed. I haven't gotten the final report but I already see areas to bargain the price. Unfortunately I don't see them cooperating with my request. Thx

I did watch video for roof coating. Do not remember as far as if you find cracks in cauking do use the causing or tape?
@RVInspectionAndCare9 ай бұрын
@@philjohnson-ic7dm It's your call, but I personally would repair the sealant before using Eternabond on top of it if you choose to do that.
