Thoughts on Cataphracts Calvary? And there United charge vs Top vet?

I havent played catas in a long time because they had some nasty bugs, but I heard they're fixed now. Catas should be decent now (maybe not the best). Both UC and top should be viable to allow you to charge through musket and crossbow and not get staggered, but I heard from a friend UC gets stuck a lot nowadays in walls and other obstacles because of the new physics. So I would probably try them full top first.

These days I prefer kheshigs, my favorite cav. But hussars, mona and ranger are also pretty good.

Hey sorry for the late reply, YT didn't notify me! I'm still going bottom line with my hussars, I didn't change. They still go through pike militia, spear sarge and the occasional halb sarge. Also makes them more tanky, which is good

when they get stun by range unit do they resume their charge?

If they get hit by musket or crossbow-units they won't resume their charge.

Ye, javs are counted as melee infantry.
