Vauge spoilers for this volume below: I still feel that they took that theme *WAY* too far at the end with the 2 v 1 scene. Smart and experience people don't make descisions that dumb, simply because of a battle (it wasn't a fight to the death either). Other than that tho, I agree that the theme it's fitting and well done.

We also officially see Tyrian’s semblance, but I think it was in the fighting game before the episode was released. He has the power to disable/nullify other people’s aura. He’s basically reverse-Jaune

@TheSkyrider27 True, he has improved, but you forget that Jaune’s semblance only really helps others so it isn’t very useful in a 1v1, and Tyrian is about equal to Qrow in terms of combat prowess

@@TheLangenator Yes, Jaune would lose because he doesn't have anywhere near the skill to even buy time to use his Semblance, but _this episode_ shows that he can use his Semblance on himself. He triggers it during the training right before Ruby deliberately splits for the first time, and his Aura shoots back up, refilling a third of itself in seconds instead of minutes.

A key part of Watts' Sabat-age that you guys may have missed is when he was bringing up the screens of the rally massacre, he was actually editing the footage to coordinate Penny's movements with Tyrian's and then replacing him with her. He basically made doctored footage that showed Penny being the sole person killing people, and then uploaded that as a video for everyone in Mantle to see.

@@jamieallover2534 No they didn't. If they altered what she could see they couldn't have retrieved what she saw to prove her innocent. They could have also used that to trick penny to kill civilians herself to do that. Tyrian is just fast as fuck and good at staying out of view.

@@TrueHavoc13 Of course they could have retrieved what she saw, cause she did indeed see him before he vanished in the dark, also they first needed to prove the ones showing her killing people were tempered in the first place which took some time. There is in fact even a visual queue but it's subtle, just before Tyrian vanishes you see arthur watts tempering with a penny hologram.

@@jamieallover2534 Thing is, there's already a precedent set in this volume when it comes to Tyrian and his ability to blend into the shadows. Remember at the end of episode 2, right before he murders Forrest. They used the little horror movie trope to have Tyrian seemingly appear out of nowhere amidst the flashing lights. It's not like we were viewing things from the lens of a security camera or anything like that, either. There was no hacking involved. He simply wasn't there one moment, and then he was. So what he does in the club is just a variation of that.

Gotta love the symbolism of Jaques giving his victory speech as Mantle is under attack...and he still wears clip-on ties, making him even more of douche. And some facts about this episode: May, the blue haired Happy Huntress, is officially confirmed as the first transgender character to appear onscreen in RWBY, and is also alludes to Maid Marian. Joanna, the other human in the group, alludes to Little John. And something a bit more dark, is that three of the victims during Tyrian's massacre were some of the young moms that were fawning over Juane last episode, with two of them having been arrested at the beginning of this episode

@Luke Well i find it pretty funny tbh. Plus you can see that there isn't any sort of strap going around Jacques neck, unlike every other character that wears a tie. Though in the end it doesn't really matter, it's just a funny detail, and it doesn't change the fact that Jacque isn't the best person out there.

tbh the security in this episode was absolutly terrible, marrow is a faunus he's supposed to have a good night vision (i assume dogs have a pretty decent night vision) and penny is supposed to be an absolute beast with night vision. Adding that rwby spotted him too the whole scene didn't make sense to me, all those character have inhumain speed but in that scene they just stand still like morons, I know it's a plot thing but i don't know it's just frustrating when they nerf character just for that one scene.

1. marrow has never been confirmed to have night vision, so he might not. 2. you're saying they have inhumane speeds but tyrian was the one bouncing around in the dark. that makes it impossible to move especially considering there was alot of people around. anything better than swinging your weapons around like idiots right?

​@@Cyrinil142 Not every faunus can see in the dark, as explained in season 1 they said most had the ability (besides if questioning if a dog or scorpion can see in the dark it's most likely going to be the scorpion) It could be that Marrow doesn't have that ability, and probably explain why he was asking Penny what was going on since she had a night vision mode. Besides, what do you even do in a fight in the dark where you can't see anything and there's a crowd of innocent people? Just wildly take shots in the dark?

Plot armor and nerfing/buffing characters to further the plot is a common thing in all shows, but the fine line is being subtle enough as to not break the audience’s suspension of disbelief. IMO RWBY struggles in that regard.

Just going to say now marrow specifically went out if the way to get blake when they went to the dust mine cause she could see in the dark, tyrain was break dance fighting basically making it so his whole body was suuuper low to the ground cant fully see him in a crowd then, he jumped up when penny saw him using the persons whole body to hide himself for the most part penny is inexperienced in dealing with that and it ain't like she has targetting nor has it been shown she could follow fast movements, marrow not fully seeing him penny inexperienced and the few people who may saw tyrain were killed or traumatized to talk right away sooo just saying this makes sense if you stop putting assumptions on how a situation should play out in your head and instead think of the information given to us before and how the characters have acted so far... Sorry long post.
