So I don't think they'll mention him specifically in the show proper, but the main villain of the video game, Dr. Merlot, is all about Grimm experimentation, and Jeff Williams wrote a theme for him that is actually played alongside the Nuckelavee grimm reveal in this episode... so that's interesting :D

The Song that played when Ren was going "Oh No", is "Lusus Naturae"; the theme to a Character from "Grimm Esclipse" {Game, Canon~set after V2 b4 V3} who was experimenting on Grimm. I made the same connection as: "Maybe it was Created" from that Song. Also Dr.Murlot's theme, Lasis Naturie was playing in the background at the end. In Grimm Eclipse, he experimented on Grimm by infusing Dust into their bodies. Maybe he created this new horse Grimm many years ago.

Taiyang and Yang share similar emblems like Ruby and Summer share similar emblems. Blake's symbol on her leg is her emblem.

I think that team RWBY will reunite in the next Volume. The volumes look like their tones follow the seasons (the blossoming, the active, the dieing and the still). So my guess is that next season will be a "coming together/building" season.

I'm not so sure that the next episode is the finale. Normally they'd advertise it as such if it was going to be the finale. There are too many loose ends to tie up in one episode, so I'd imagine it goes on for a bit longer.

There's a difference between being evil and doing bad things, and 'just' doing bad things, more-or-less. For all we've seen of Raven, she may not have shown remorse, but she hasn't shown pleasure in such events either- if anything, when she said to Qrow that she told them Ozpin would fail/Beacon would fall, she seemed almost annoyed and/or angry that they did, if still mostly focused on the pragmatic question of if Salem had the relic (and thus, what she and her tribe would face from then on). ^So she's probably amoral, ruthless, uncaring, and many other things, but outright evil is still up in the air. Not to mention the raiding can be for the tribe's survival and such, which is somewhat justifiable - attacking villages for kicks would be evil, but there's no proof of that just yet.

You can definitely see the jokes you could only understand if you've seen the show before if you look for them, especially in the movies and the ones that call back to before Z when Goku was still a kid. Not to mention that the series is meant for people who know Dragon Ball's deep lore, not as an alternative to the original. It has made new fans out of many and that's a great bonus, but not going in with the necessary knowledge can hurt the experience.
