Glad to have caught this when it came out. Good to see this continuing on, as well. I'll definitely say this much more about Desperado: They don't necessarily prioritize hiring sane people, let alone for top dog positions. There can be sympathy for some, but the sympathy is lost rather easily due to actions taken. And Ruby... Killing Mistral definitely WAS the only option in that scenario. You don't have to enjoy fighting in order to do it. You don't have to take pleasure in killing in order to do it. People are different from monstrous beasts, granted. ...But some people will refuse to change back to the way they used to be before becoming akin to monsters. Enjoyment...ISN'T mandatory.

But Raiden DOES enjoy killing his enemies- he just suppressed that side of him. I'm not disagreeing with your statement, but I find it ironic that you bring that up while talking about a guy who unlocks a mode in which he cackles like a madman while slicing his enemies apart.

I bet at least a third of them will reckon he is completely right. Pretty sure even Oz will be swayed just a little. You see, Armstrong was fully willing to turn the world into amoral full-borg killers just so they wouldn't keep on being helpless and weak-willed. Yet along comes Raiden, who went through more and worse than anyone in Desperado - and thanks to nanomachines there's not much left of his original body aside from a few skull fragments and chunks of gray matter. But Raiden's sole principle with which to go forward is that he will not harm the innocent. No matter how much he really, really likes killing. Raiden is Armstrong's dream come true.

Correct me if I am wrong, but after this, Raiden goes to Mexico to investigate the Desperado facility there, which means we are finally going to see a certain room.
