Kind of wished in this fight that Watts revealed just how he came into contact with Salem. I would take anything like him eavesdropping on Ironwood or something.

We only get a handful of lines where Watts complains that Ironwood picked Pietro's project over his, and now Watts wants the world to end. That's a pretty drastic jump, which we really should have gotten more on.

Did they even tell us what Watts was working on that lost to Pietro,

@@TheDual-WielderI like to believe Watts doesn’t necessarily want to destroy the world just Atlas or Ironwood and Salem was just the best option for that. I feel if Ironwood fired watts due to his personality but used his tech and knowledge and passing it as his own, then watts hating Ironwood would be more justified

10:21 Ironwood's black pistol shoots purple ammunition, which I interpreted as gravity dust. That would explain why his relatively tiny pistol seems to launch him further than Ruby's Creseny Rose Edit: Maybe I should have waited to post this comment as the Gravity dust gets pointed out later. Uppsss

On revolvers you could replace the entire cylinder which would make real loud fast. He could also be counting because he has specific bullets that do different things and he's counting down to winthose bullets are coming up in the next round

1:20 Part of the reason I dislike Vol 7/8 is the fact that there isn't really a chain of command in the Atlas Military. You'd think there'd be Generals, Admirals, and every other ranking officer there to assist Ironwood other than Winter and the Aceops. The general lack of them also makes Ironwood's face-heel turn seem a bit unrealistic as there would probably be tons of people underneath him that would be willing to take over responsibility. But no, Ironwood is supreme commander that has to command every unit himself like a microing RTS player. 6:00 Understandable, but I feel the handle for Ironwood's pistols don't exactly look ergonomic for two-handed use. It's possible, but not ideal. They look like older Wild West style revolver handles which were designed for one-handed use.

It does create this weird inconsistency with how Atlas was portrayed in the early seasons as having a juggernaut of a military, but when it's time to see it in action, the Kingdom seems to almost have fewer resources than it did at Beacon.

@@TheDual-Wielder What didn't help me was that I was also watching the original Legend of the Galactic Heroes show at the time with the two main characters surrounded by their command staff with their own characterization. The Atlas Military unfortunately comes off as a Hollywood understanding of how the upper echelons of military command works. That being one person in charge commanding and everyone underneath them just doing it. Just Ironwood surrounded by special forces rather than numerous commanders, strategists, logistics officers, chiefs of staff, etc. who provide their own thoughts on things. I totally get it though, that's a lot of people that need to be introduced in a show that already has a massive cast. And it's boring to talk about the things that actually make a military successful compared to SUPER ELITE SPECIAL FORCES TEAMS.

So for how Watts was able to gain easy access, a good chunk of it comes from how he wrote the codes for Atlas and Mantle's security systems, and that would probably extend to the Amity Arena. Plus, he's a hacker as well and is good at making viruses. The virus he put in Beacon's systems, Ironwood's scroll, and by extension the Amity Arena, likely left him a back door for him to fall back on should he need to access them again. As for why Ironwood confronted Watts head on, I dunno. Rule of cool maybe? I mean, he knows he just gave Watts a massive advantage for this fight, which means he was prepared for being at a disadvantage. And back to the rule of cool, this was Watts's only fight, so it had to be a spectacle, which it was. Also, Ironwood did not exhaust his gravity rounds necessarily. He lost his gravity gun when Watts shot it out of his hand. Yeah, that black gun was his gravity gun.

I don't pay much attention on James, he and Jacque got what they deserved and unforgivable they are. I don't wanted to hear it.

down with Ironwood! Down with his current tech security specialist! i still cant believe Watts lost this fight, he clearly had the upperhand.
