RWBY Theory - The Students that DIED at Beacon's Fall

The Fall of Beacon saw the loss of not only the school that had been the setting for the first 3 Volumes of RWBY but also many casualties of those who tried to defend it. With so much happening during the battle, we as the viewers only saw a small portion of what happened, many were fighting all over the city and many died during the battle that we did not see, including some of the students from Beacon and other schools alike. Here is my theory on who died from the student teams when Beacon Fell.

To take that Star Wars comparison to its logical end, I would guess the Atlas teams would probably have the highest amount of casualties of the students teams as they would be the most trusting of the Atlas Military bots and thus would be the ones most likely to keep their guard down near them.

The reason we didn't see any students at Haven is because remember what Blake's dad said during his speech in V5 that the white fang were planning to attack the school before the fall semester starts. Also given what happened in Vale I'm pretty sure the school told every students that was still there before V5 started to go home to be with their families as a safety precaution.

Blake's Dad and the rest of the faunis found out in advance about the attack but I don't think they got the information out in time since RWBY and Qrow didn't know the attack was coming. Leo probably may have sent the students home or on missions away from the school to make the attack easier

i was under the impression that they were on break instead of missions, mostly from what blake's dad mentioned. possibly they extended the normal break because of the fall, so the teams that lost friends or members to just relax and calm down after the fall.

I would agree that most of the students were away, due to the break before the start of the fall semester. If there were any that remained in Mystral -- due to not having families or not being able to travel home (no Lien, access to travel, etc.) -- certain that Leo had enough sense to send them to someplace off campus so they'd not be caught in the attack. My one nit is that Leo "not being evil" is something of a grey point to me. Sure, he wasn't intentionally evil, but considering that Salem had something over him (we never did find out what that was?), he certainly committed acts that weren't good. Giving Salem's people info on the Huntsmen/Huntresses missions so they could be eliminated, emptying the school to make it easier to assault . . . and lets not forget he contacted Salem after Qrow showed him where the Spring Maiden might actually be. Not acts of a man dedicated to being good. More the acts of a desperate man trying to stay alive (not that it mattered in the end).

If team ABRN had make it through the battle of beacon, chances are they were casualties of Lionsheart treachery and were amongst the team that were sent to suicide missions as we witnessed in season 5.

Yeah that could have happened. Do we know if Lionheart sent students away to die? I know it was the full fledged Huntsman/Huntresses that Qrow knew who were sent on missions to die but I can't recall if the students were the same or they just were sent hope for summer break. The rest of Sun's team was supposed to be at Haven at the time and they lived so hopefully ABRN did too, if they survived Beacon.

@@PhoenixNight I remember when we first saw Weiss back in Atlas that Ironwood told her that "School will be back in session before you know it" or such, so it sounds like all of the academies might have taken a break because of what happened at Beacon. That would make a lot of sense.

Two things regarding Team CRDL (Cardinal): 1) We did see two members of the team during the Vytal Tournament; Russel Thrush and Sky Lark were the ones who were easily defeated by Penny during the two-member stage of the tourney. If only one of them died, I feel that it would probably be Sky (the one with blue hair), just because he just looks like the type that wants to fight through fear, but just to show off, and doesn't really have the skills to actually survive the fight. Russel Thrush (the one with the mohawk) is the most cowardly of Team CRDL, so he would definitely just run away, though he could have been killed while running. 2) We also saw Cardin Winchester, fighting in the streets of Vale, so he absolutely did NOT run away; he got surrounded by Atlas 'bots, and might have died, but Ironwood saved him by destroying all the 'bots. So, Cardin is one of the Fall Of Beacon survivors, more than likely.

Yup, I noticed both of those points while editing so it definitely looks like Cardin is alive somewhere but since he was fighting alone when Ironwood saved him, it makes me wonder what exactly happened to the rest of his team. Sky does seem likely, as does Russel to have fallen. We haven't seen much of Dove in the first 3 volumes of the series compared to the other members of team CRDL it seems as I can't really say much about how he would have reacted to what was happening. @@PhoenixNight Dove actually might have survived, as well, he seemed like the one guy out of the team who took his schooling and training seriously, and thus was the most competent overall; during the pre-Tournament training fight, when it was all of Team CRDL Vs. Pyrrha, Dove was actually holding his own against Pyrrha, even making her go on the defensive, though it was just for a second or two, which even Cardin couldn't do... But then. of course, Cardin ruined his team's chances like the big galoot dum-dum that he is, by backhanding Dove with his mace, and putting him out of the fight. Together, Dove and Cardin MIGHT have had a tiny chance of winning against Pyrrha, or maybe fighting to a draw, but once Dove was out, Cardin didn't really stand a chance anymore, as we saw... Also, to this day, I'm not sure whether Cardin accidentally hit Dove with the mace, or whether Cardin did it on purpose, and just made it look like an "accident", because he was jealous that Dove was doing a little bit better against Pyrrha than he himself was, and maybe Cardin wanted the glory of defeating Pyrrha (yeah, right; dream on, Cardin) all to himself. So, yeah, I could see Dove surviving The Fall Of Beacon, even though I feel that he would be REALLY banged up if he did, and I think it would be interesting if we eventually see that he got folded into another surviving Team, like ABRN, or whoever is left from BRNZ (if any).

@@PhoenixNight To be fair, Cardin was a Bully but not stupid or Thuggish. More like an abusive Drill Sergeant. I can see him as a good Solider, and good Huntsman. Not a good man perhaps, but even there he can evolve. Maybe as he ages he can grow into a better man., But as it is at the end of S3 he wasn't a complete slacker. He was inexperienced, not incompetant.

@@quwykxz True, now that I've looked back on it, Dove does seem to be fairly skilled and competent so depending on how their team progressed past Volume 2, his chances of survival are pretty good and since we did see Cardin get saved by Ironwood in Volume 3, he likely survived as well. Hopefully we will get some explanation as to what became of the whole team. I really like that idea of surviving members of teams forming new ones though! With the students of Beacon having to leave their home school, they might join teams that they fought alongside, I hope we see that at some point throughout the series (other than RNJR) showing that teams are fluid and compatible with members changing.

@@skwills1629 I completely agree with you, he wasn't a complete slacker. As I mentioned, he made it to Beacon on his own merit, but what we saw of him in the series didn't really showcase his talents very well. I do hope he comes back to the series changed from his experiences in some way.

Really surprised to learn BRNZ didn't make it! That's really sad...! I can only imagine how many civilians that were under Atlesian Knight protection got Code Geass'd. But an interesting thought occurs; what if in that moment of terror and life threatening danger, some civilians or even students awaken their aura or even semblances and with that twist of fortune they were able to survive?

I was surprised too, just thrown in After the Fall on a single page mentioning they disappeared at beacon and weren't seen again, and confirming Roy died. The Fall of Beacon was such a huge battle, I can only imagine what we didn't see while it was happening. I would love to see that happen! I really hope that we meet people later in the series who were at Beacon when it fell, giving us more information on the battle, and if some people survived that way, that would be amazing. I'm sure the battle inspired some people to become Huntsman/Huntresses to try to prevent such tragedies again

Hmm, it would probably be something rare like 1 in 100 civilians awaken their aura but when it comes to students without semblances maybe 1 out of 10 do it the same way like Jaune.

We don't know if they all died. Yes Roy is dead but the other team members are problaby alive. If there is going to be a sole survivor of the team it would definitely be May because she seems to have some form of survival tactics(she was able to use parkour as well).

@@chihuahuaman917 Very true, the team, other than Roy, is only thought to be dead so they could very well have survived. A couple things make me think otherwise though, since CFVY stayed two weeks after the initial incident, they probably saw a lot of survivors who were escaping and they didn't see BRNZ or get any info about where they were or what happened to them. CFVY could have easily just not seen them though. Another thing is the Team dynamic of BRNZ. 3 close combat fighters and May is the long range sniper. I definitely agree that May would have the best survival chances of her team but being a sniper generally means they are vulnerable to close range ambushes. Then at least one of the close combat fighters, Roy, was taken out, lowering the protection May normally has to keep enemies at sniping distance. Either way, hopefully we get confirmation one way or another

Now, it seems like they were just starting to develop Cardin a little bit, but since we haven't seen him since The Fall Of Beacon, we may never know if he's changed or not. Hopefully, they'll bring him back at some point, and we'll be able to see what they've done with him, if anything. Personally, since he seemed to be a militaristic type of character, and also anti-Faunus, I kind of hope he somehow ended up going to the Atlas Academy, because it feels like he'd fit in with their overall attitudes, and maybe, because Ironwood saved him, Cardin might start idolizing Ironwood, and follow him around like a puppy, lol.

I think a lot of the students who were there for the festival probably didn't make it out. One thing that Jacques Schnee was talking to Weiss about when he wanted her to perform was that his own daughter was at the Fall of Beacon. It sounded like that was an exception (that someone from Atlas came back from Beacon), which would mean that a lot of the spectators and students from Atlas never made it back. And the statue mentioned something like, "...one of many students who died", so it sounds like a lot of them never made it.

The statue of Pyrrha says "one of the many students who fought valiantly at the Fall of Beacon". The writes of the show really don't want to confirm how bad it was. From a story telling standpoint, that's a good idea. From a production standpoint, it would have dragged the episode out. It may not be a popular thing to think about, but sometimes to DO have to balance out what you want to see in a film or TV episode versus what you know will work best production wise. Take by example the original Star Wars from 1977. The first cut of the film was considered a "disaster", because certain scenes dragged in between all the action parts, and ruined the pacing for the story Lucas was trying to tell. A re-cut removed a lot of the stuff that was bogging it down, and made the pacing more in line with what Lucas was looking for : a film with the snap, pizzaz and pacing of a Saturday Theatrical Serial from the prior century (like Flash Gordon or Buck Rogers). It might have driven home just how terrible the attack on Beacon was, showing all the character and "NPC" deaths, but ultimately RT and CRWBY made the right choice to keep the episodes quick paced and flowing.

I have to admit that thumbnail had me worried that this was going to be alike those silly FFVIII and Majora's Mask theories. "Ruby died at Beacon and the rest of the show is a fever dream!!!" Then I noticed it was from you, and you'd never make something so silly. As others have said Cardin himself was fighting on the ground (as you noticed when editing the video, undoubtedly since you got a clip from that scene). I would like to see him again in some capacity, I feel that due to the poor reception of the Jaunedice arc pretty much any plans they had for Cardin were scrapped. I never thought about how many people were really lost in the Fall of Beacon, but you're probably right that parts of Team ABRN may not have made it.

It does seem likely that his character was pushed aside but I have hope some characters will come back. He was mentioned in flashbacks in After the Fall so they creators haven't forgot about Cardin just yet I think. I didn't really think about it either until reading After the Fall and learning about BRNZ and that got me thinking about this theory. I hope we learn more about the Fall of Beacon and about those who fell protecting it.

Something I'd like to see talked about in the future: we know Jaune faked his transcripts to get into beacon but how the hell did he pass the entrance exam?? In a conversation with Blake, Ozpin implies that most students had to go to rigorous training schools before applying to Beacon because of the rigorous entrance exam, that she passed with flying colors. How the hell did Jaune fake the physical entrance exam?

In Volume 3 chapter 11 we can see Nadir fighting the grimm and atlesian robots on Beacon academy yard, and he is in the backround on left when atlesian paladin fall over after ironwood ship get destroyed so if he stayed with his team he would survive. Fact we didn't see him in next chapter probably get evacuated.

@@blueblade6174 True, but I have to agree with Edward Armstrong; Team NDGO was winning by a good margin, and they would have known that fighting while you're in water and your opponent is on dry land is NOT a good idea, and standing around and giving your opponent time to recuperate and come up with more strategies against you is suicidal; you HAVE to press your advantage when you have it, and give your opponent(s) no chance to retaliate and/or possibly make a comeback. That was a spot of bad writing for a fight which had been done pretty well up to that point.

The CRWBY was trying to split the fight between comedic and important/serious, and they should have gone full-on one way or the other, I feel. But overall, it was a decent enough fight, for what it was. 🙂

@@kevinc8557 For what reason? The story didn't go the way YOU wanted it to go? This is something that seems to come up in literally EVERY fandom I come across. A show/movie/book/etc. gets popular and a following. Fans begin to speculate how the story will go, and come up with their own theories/head canon. Then, when the story doesn't match up to those, it's disappointing, a let down, and fans who supported the thing now turn on it like rabid dogs. Understand this: Monty started the story of RWBY with a set idea of how it would go. Sadly he passed on, but the company decided to continue it, to honor his legacy. They had to run with the story and continue it, and thus they came up with the plot and path that would allow it to go on. The point here is that Team CRWBY/Rooster Teeth are the ones WRITING THE STORY. It's their project. Not yours. Not anyone else's. THEY have to come up with the story and the ending that THEY want to write. Not what any other one fan or group of fans wants to see. Yes, they can take honest criticism, and feedback (it's probably why we got to see Yang and Blake grow closer, due to all the Bumblby-shipping). BUT they are not mandated to write the story to suit anyone or everyone! Any creator is well within their rights to write the story that THEY want to see done. Content today -- books, movies, tv shows, comics, etc. -- are not created by committee! It has to be left to the creators to do things their way. If you don't like the way a show or story is going, you are not required to continue to follow it. You can go watch/read/listen to something else, or if you are that determined to see your idea in print, then write fan-fiction, draw fan art, or reenact it in cosplay . . . whatever floats your boat. You are allowed to dislike something, but don't take it into a toxic direction (i.e. -- threatening the show runner/team, the writers, the V.A./Actors, etc.). That sort of thing NEVER works out well in the end. Ultimately, just understand that anything created today needs to be allowed to be done by the creators themselves, in the vision they have set forth for it. If that doesn't suit you, then just walk away and leave it in peace, okay?

I see it this way the weaker the team the less likelihood they survived s the team that beat them is stronger, not saying they aren't good huntsmen and huntresses just that their level of survivability OR combat skills maybe somewhat inferior to other teams thus reducing their overall effectiveness against overwhelming hordes of Grimm. However this is only an observational theory based around the tournament's teams shown. The other factor that needs to be accounted for is the Grimm themselves.. Numbers and Variety it's a known FACT there are A LOT more Grimm then people in the world of Revenant based on the minimal numbers available and that Atlas's mechanized infantry started killing everyone the chances of survival drop drastically the battle become a war from the skies due to the Dragon Grimm, the armored Atlas infantry, and the wolf, Ursa, and insect Grimm on the ground Not to mention we don't know if Adam killed anyone.. I wouldn't put past that douche-canoe frankly. Also we don't know if Cinder's team murdered anyone else along the way either.. so chances of survival diminish Further.. I'm honestly surprised anyone survived that onslaught frankly RWBY and JNPR all suffered some kind of loss or PTSD same with CFVY

There seems to be a lot of assumption in regards to the fate of the rest of BRNZ. One was carried off by a Nevermore, and I wouldn't be surprised if they lost another along the way, but I actually think it's highly unlikely they were wiped out entirely. My money is on at least Nolan and May making it out alive. Mostly I'm pulling for them because... you know... RWBY's got a serious shortage of redheads going on. That's two more and I ain't willing to just write them off. And the prime law of all fiction is that a character is to be presumed alive until you can prove that they are dead beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Pyrrha is dead. which that is a tragedy. However, Penny is just seriously injured, and she looked dead, considering that she is an android. However, at the start of Volume 7 (which premiered on November 2. 2019) Penny made a re-appearance after her father/creator named Pietro Polendina retrieved her while he was there at the Amity Colosseum during the Vytal Festival and the Fall of Beacon. So yeah, Penny is a survivor, but also the casualty. (If her core is destroyed, then yeah, we add that to the official fatality list, a fatalities which they died in the event, in contrast to the injuries, even with Penny's serious injuries as an android being can be counted at - the casualties is the term of the number of people affected during this event, so yeah, its term is split into fatalities and injuries.) Known injuries are to be Blake and Yang from Team RWBY, whom the former was stabbed by Adam Taurus, and the latter lost her arm by that same boi. The known (and unconfirmed) fatalities are: Pyrrha Nikos from Team JNPR, Roman Torchwick, and some members of Team CRDL, BRNZ, ABRN, or others (members of Cinder's Faction and White Fang casualties don't count)

Definitely feel like Cardin is gonna be the only one left out of CRDL. Partially because of the lack of character development for the other three team members, and partially because of things left unsaid between him and Jaune in earlier volumes. Cardin doesn't seem like a bad person, but someone who may have lost their way early on; at least, that's the feeling I got in the short amount of time we got to spend getting to know him. I guess we'll just have to wait and see though.

WoW... That must've been terrifying, I cannot imagine what it was like being there, going through such an event. On the upside, now those "wise" teeth have been removed and I don't think they grow back in... But honestly that is a horrifying experience, (the explosion) and I can't help but admire the fact that you covered the fall of Beacon in this video, it being so similar in some sense. Side note though, Cardin can not be a good person, as goes the story of Joan d'Arc [Juane Arc's inspiration] who was burned at the stake in part by a certain Cardinal Beaufort of Winchester [Cardin Winchester's inspiration]. I believe that the most likely story of team CRDL is that one or two of them died, Cardin and the other thug(s) fleeing. This then leads to an encounter with Tyrian who, after killing another/the other living member Convinces Cardin to work as a thug for him, not connected to Salem directly. Cardin would maybe have second thoughts, but would reach a point where he comes to two conclusions, Faunus are not lesser than humans, and with Tyrian (Salem) on his side, he can be stronger than Pyrrha ever was, and maybe even stronger than Ozpin himself. This would, I believe, result in Cardin eventually getting his chance, "burning" Juane and realizing his fault, Juane, of course, turning out to be fine because, well, too OP please nerf. Sorry that I comment so long after your initial video releases... (if you are reading this at all)

I still try to read as many comments as I can, even long after a video is posted. 😊 That is a really good idea for the path that Cardin may have taken after the fall of Beacon and would lead to an interesting reunion/confrontation of Jaune and Tyrian. I'm really curious how Rooster Teeth will play out the story with characters that have inspirations like Jaune and Cardin have. If they are true to the inspirations then Jaune's fate is not looking good but I have a feeling they will spin it differently. Great ideas!

I believe it is likely that if/when we see team CRDL again (perhaps a return to Beacon a few volumes later?) they would have taken the unexpectedly honourable choice of staying to clear out the Grimm. They are, as you said, worthy of being Huntsmen in their own right. They would have grown as a team. They may be bullies, but they are still loyal to the school and want to protect Vale and its people - that is the purpose of a Huntsman, after all. This would be a good route for Roosterteeth to take with developing CRDL. It is important character growth as they essentially 'sober up' and take on a more risky role. They are no longer students, and have battle experience. They were at the Fall of Beacon too, and thanks to After the Fall that affected everyone who survived. They will hopefully be more mature if we ever see them again. Though I agree that at least one of them probably died during the Fall, which would only develop the remaining's attitude/demeanor moreso. Perhaps there will be a sort of silent comradery between Jaune and Cardin; overcoming their harsh history to save people, recognising it is in the past and they have a common focus/goal. I imagine it would only be a nod as they pass, CRDL having just introduced RWBY & Co to the current situation (likely bleak). Maybe they met up at the landing bay - RWBY & Co were left at the end of Volume 7 in an Atlas airship, so their arrival (if they still have the airship upon returning) would be recieved as possibly reinforcements and a team would be sent out to collect them. Either that, or they are travelling on foot and team CRDL find them in the forest during a mission. This is all hypothetical, of course. RWBY & Co may never return to Beacon / never see CRDL again.

I think the most interesting thing to come out of this is the number of participants since it informs us as to the total of huntsmen-in-training at all the academies. Now we know that there was some form of qualifying test since supposedly this is what was going on in the Pyrrha vs. all of CRDL fight. However, team CRDL still made it into the tournament so the bar must have been pretty low. What I take from this is it is at least possible that across all four schools there are only 128 huntsmen-in-training. Especially since we know that the tournament was not split into age brackets due to CFVY who are second years fighting the same people as the rest. What this works out to is a graduating class of EIGHT from each school. Now we do know that in the main casts year there are at least twelve students, therefore the best solution I can come up with is that the tournament was age bracketed but into upperclassmen and underclassmen. This still leave CFVY fighting in the same bracket as the main cast, but bumps the graduating class up to a still small but at least more likely based on the data we have of 16. We can also use this dats to inform us on the numbers of huntsmen there are in the world. Each year the academics produce approximately 64 graduates. Now the job of huntsman is a high risk job so let’s say on average a huntsman lives to be 35. Now, that may seem low but given what we know the average professional huntsman that makes a living doing basic missions probably is close to the two we saw on the train at the beginning of V6 and neither seemed particularly competent so I’m sticking with my average. (Keep in mind it is an average legendary huntsmen like Qrow do exist and live longer, and some do retire like Tai and the other teachers, but my guess is a fairly large number die after just a few years out in the wild, so the average balances out.) Now, let’s get back to the math so, students graduate at the age of 21 (the Wiki page for the Academies are 4-year institutions) which gives us only 14 years of active service for the average huntsman. This all means that, based on this lowest estimate,on average there are less than 900 (896 to be exact) huntsmen active across Remnant at any one time. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

Phoenix/Night I wish they would have continued the series also they have all the material they need in the manga to really go above and beyond and season 3 could have taken sekirei to the next level. However that didn’t happen sadly but as for my favorite sekirei I do really enjoy hibiki she is my favorite among the lightning twins as she was calm cool and collected and made funny sarcastic remarks I personally love tsukiumi because she has the design and personality suited to be Minato’s main love interest especially after that night when they had the party before trying to help the ashikabi and his sekirei escape the city. tsukiumi showed her genuine side and love for Minato asking him does he truly love her and will he give her the time to allow her to show how much she truly loves him, not only as his sekirei but for the true passion and genuine care she has for him. In that moment it took her from being a main case to best girl in the show and it’s a shame we didn’t get to see minato’s response or it progress further. Because who knows what would have happened. Outside of the main cast I love Akitsu as I love ice and I feel She is very underrated and maybe one day we can work on a rwby video together

Not exactly; Adam had a civilian down, and it looked like he was going to kill him, but then Blake arrived and intervened, saving the civilian. We don't know if the civilian was a Beacon student or not, and it's possible that, after Blake saved him, he got killed by Grimm, or the rogue Atlas robots, or maybe even Adam tracked him down and killed him out of spite, but the last we saw of the civilian, he was "safe" (or as "safe" as you can be in a scenario like that...).

the mech soldier + the grimm, I guess at least half of the population of beacon and of huntsman didn't make it . And surprisingly, I think the civilian in the tournament arena are those that have probably survived . It's show that they got evacuated be aircraft (in the scene where ironwood kick the shit out of a beowolf) and that it was before the machine turn against the people . Some aircraft probably got destroyed be the nevermores, but I think most got out . In town on the other hand ... peoples where screwed . With the grimm pouring into the city, most of the huntsman being in or around the academy, and the human soldier probably being anihilated the moment the mech turn against them, the civilians in town where defensless . No land escape, and the airport (or whatever is used like that) probably got to chaotic to help people escape . Maybe some, escape be the port via ship, but it's unlikely . And that's withouth takinginto acount the white fang screwing around with the escape way . I doubt they leave the railway, shipyard and airport alone . So my estimate : Military : Total destruction Huntsman : between half and 3/4 survival Civilian : Less than half survival .

The unnamed members of FNKI and Penny's team are easy to kill off since there's no attachment, but the named members would be fine. I hear that Miles and Kerry talked fondly of Flynn, Neon, and Ciel in DVD commentary. The member of Team CRDL most likely to be offed is Russel, since his VA caused a lot of drama with the open letter. Lark is another easy death since he seems like the least skilled. Monty said Dove was the best fighter, so he probably lived. If they're killing partial teams, I don't have high hopes for Reese, Nadir, and Octavia. They didn't seem to be as skilled as their teammates.

Looking back I really wish they didn't do the time skip and just had the confidence to let secondary characters carry more of the plot after the fall temporarily. Seeing Cardigan change in real time would've been awesome. Seeing team CFVY and others deal with the aftermath of leaving Beacon and help others flee would've given team rwby a much needed break, so that their time separated could've actually been better explored and worthwhile. But also I think it would've helped the story from escalating too fast. Now that we're that end of the world story beats I realize in hurrying up the plot I feel like they missed out on a lot of character development they could've done had they slowed down and focused more on the characters dealing with the aftermath more directly. Oh well. As the story stands now it just feels like it is rushing to finish the story, the scope of the story got to big too fast and it's hard to feel any tension.

Yo Phoenix, I don’t know if you’ve already made a video about this but I think I know how humans were able to return to Remnant after the dark god killed everyone. It’s just a theory but I feel like it makes a lot of sense. In the very first episode of RWBY Salem has a line and it’s “Humans, born from dust...” and then she goes on about humans. However, I think this is how humans were born again. They were reshaped by the dust that the dark god turned them into. Remember, when he killed them he turned them into literal dust, so i think overtime humans were able to come back through those same humans that were turned to dust come back into society only to find that their memory was wiped so they had no idea who they were and that magic was gone. This magic is now known as dust. So what I am concluding is that the dust that the dark god turned them into now has 2 different forms. Humans and the magical dust that humans can interact with. It’s really hard to explain but I think I did my best to explain it. What do you think about the theory? Do you think you might do a video on it?

That is an interesting idea! I always thought that humans just evolved again naturally but you're right, the wording does state born from dust and since dust did not exist in the first age of humans, it had to come from somewhere. Great idea!

That would be interesting depending on how it happened. The fact we have nuclear weapons would be a big issue for remnant but they have autonomous soldiers and bigger tanks, not to mention Grimm and semblance. If we take out take out the nukes, it would be an interesting battle. Great idea!

I don't think Dust would work on Earth; it seems like it's something that's very specific to the world/planet of Remnant, since it was specified that Dust gets weaker and weaker the higher it gets into Remnant's atmosphere, and doesn't work at all anymore once you get close enough to leaving Remnant's atmosphere, and that's why they don't have space travel in RWBY and on Remnant. And we know that some countries on Earth ARE capable of going into space and setting up some sort of an offense from there, such as shooting missiles from space, by using military satellites, so I think Earth would have an edge in that fight, since we could just bombard Remnant from space, and they don't really have a way to retaliate. However, if it's a planet-side fight ON REMNANT, then the use of Dust, Semblances, and the protection given to Remnant fighters by their Auras, as well as the advanced Atlas tech and the unique, innate abilities possessed by some Faunus, such as Tyrian's poison sting, or Ilia's camouflage abilities, would more than likely give the edge to Remnant. Also, since Earth forces would not know about Grimm creatures, or be used to fighting them, they would have a very difficult time on Remnant, having to fight both the Grimm and the Remnant forces simultaneously.

Might be worth mentioning it was the Atlas robots and mechs that turned against everyone. The regular organic atlas soldiers continued to fight against the grimm and their own malfunctioning equipment.

as for now, Team ABRN is fine, as well as Team FNKY (depending on how volume 8 turns out), Team BRNZ has Nolan as the only survivor and Team NDGO were the first ones to flee when everything went south.
