Well, here are my final thoughts on the big showdown between Blake and Yang vs Adam. Adam.... As much as I hated your guts for all the shit you pulled, I will still salute you for at least providing one of my all time favorite fights in RWBY, from both this and the previous chapter. And Speaking of that fight, I think it showed well that Blake and Yang had little to no chance of defeating Adam in a one on one fight, they had to work together as the partners they are in order to finally bring him down. And even then he pushed them to their limits, they won by an hair line. And as for the chances of Adam coming back. It is not impossible, I can count the number of times where I've believed someone is dead, only for them to some how come back. But for now, I do think Adam is gone for good. Overall, it was a strong chapter, and I can not wait for the finale.

I'm very satisfied with how that final fight with Adam went, both Blake and Yang got closure on a traumatic part of their past and can now properly let it go without fearing Adam anymore. It was so awesome. And Ruby is so crazy, I love her so much. Without spoiling anything, today's last episode was just awesome. It was great, and it certainly gives us a bunch of things to expect in Volume 7 when it comes by.

Adam may have my pity for what happened to him because of Jacques Schnee, but I will never forgive him for what he did to Yang and Blake, as well as how he tried to destroy Blake's parents as a way to keep his promise to destroy everything she loves. Also, Adam, I feel you on her leaving, but you're the one who isn't helping. You never hurt or make those you love feel small or weak. You never try to demean them or harm those close to them, even if they don't love you the same way. You give everything you got to protect those you love and those close to them. As a romantic partner, you failed Blake as she had failed you. She gave up on you, but you became her worst nightmare, giving her NO reason to make up for what she did. You never redeemed yourself to her or even tried to understand WHY she left you. Finally, as Yang said was the final nail in your coffin. "Was she promising to you or the person you pretended to be?". Blake once thought you was justice, but found out later you was only Spite. She doesn't want humans beneath her boot or dead, she wanted equality. She had every right to live the life she wanted and to do what she believes is right, you clearly expected her to go along with your way even when she believes it WRONG. Revenge and equality don't mix well, Adam. I'm sorry to say, but as things stand, you and Blake wouldn't be able to ever see eye to eye. Let alone actually make your relationship work as you are so damn hellbent on your stance of revenge on humanity for the past. Reminds me of the Black Lives matter groups, so focused on their past and making white people pay for things their ancestors had done. Expecting us in the present to be the ones to pay for it, I say screw that. We of the present have no debt to pay to anyone for what our ancestors did, that is on THEM alone. As long as humanity lives blinded by hate, we'll forever be stuck in a never ending cycle of self destruction. Much like Adam found to be HIS fate. Blake and Adam remind me, somewhat similarly in a minor way, to the fate I feel myself and my father will face. He is Catholic through and through, even though he never says it, he places god first... before even his own children. believing god's way is right and any who opposes deserves to burn in hell for their choices. Unfortunately, this means we'll eventually have to face a similar situation where we simply are at two different roads and he'll realize this in the future. I can't follow that hypocrite of a deity or the way my father states if "god's laws" on marriages. Love is pure and should be embraced in more than just man and woman only. Sadly, father and the old school catholic ways he insists is god's law... considers any who has multiple loves, is gay, or Bi, to be reprobates that deserve to burn in hell. Along with that are a few other details I rather keep to myself, but you get the idea. There are some things about the Catholics I can't agree with and I refuse to worship the Catholic deity. I choose what I believe in and what path I walk and I'll travel this untraveled road that my heart deems is MY path, the path I believe in. Alongside those I love in secrecy. YES, to those reading this it is more akin to Weiss and her father, I agree. But... the way father words of god and his laws(Which goes beyond the ten commandments), he tries to make us seem so small and helpless, that god knows best and we should BLINDLY follow his lead. I rather not do that when my heart doesn't agree with what is said. So I feel a strong connection with Weiss since Volume Five and but I also feel a connection to Blake in a minor way now too.

tenofprime Adam wasn’t really minor and with the reveal of his SDC scar he shouldn’t have been killed off, the heroes are going to Atlas, where the SDC is, the writers wasted a storyline involving Adam that could’ve actually been GOOD. Instead he’s just killed off and his scar never elaborated on, why the writers thought killing him would be a good idea frankly eludes me. Adam should’ve survived, Salem is the villain sure but that doesn’t mean we can’t have other antagonists besides Salem, Cinder and Neo are not aligned with Salem anymore and they’re still around.

Yes, Nora; I agree. *SHE'S NUTS!!!* I know that Ruby has to level up her protagonist status, but seriously?! Standing in front of a giant robot (which pretty much defines her and what Huntsmen/Huntresses are to do, standing up against a force that's bigger them), giving a speech that practically says that she will not back down, then when a buster cannon is aimed on it (seriously, with the cannon having elemental attacks, they should call it Megaman), and instead of dodging, going right into it while it is charging (with a heroic music theme playing). Crazy. Gutsy, but crazy... I guess it can't be helped considering Maria is one of her mentors (who is perhaps equally as crazy). And, before the confrontation, Qrow definitely saw Summer in Ruby there. Blake and Yang vs. Adam... Okay, whose idea was it to use a music that sounds like something out of Dark Souls. Just going for the boss battle theme, huh? Reverse Bumblebee was a sweet move as well and Yang using her semblance at the last moment with the smoke around; that is straight out of DBZ (or nearly any action anime really). Oh... famous last word(s) Seriously, I was oddly surprised by Adam's demise. Him being defeated is one thing, but this... To be fair though, it couldn't be helped. It reminded me of _Man of Steel_ , when Superman knew that Zod would not stopped until he killed everyone and leaving Superman with the only option he had. Same thing with Adam. He was given a chance to stop and leave Blake and her friends alone, but he just would not stop, leaving the only other solution there was to stop him. A kaiji-grimm!?! Really? And us without a Jaeger. Actually, that's not to much of a surprise either, with all the yelling and hostility Cordovin was displaying throughout. And it's attracting more Grimm. It looks like the Fall of Beacon all over again (I just hope it's not attracting the Apathy Grimm; that would be a true nightmare). What makes this worse it that Augus biggest weapon/defense is (temporarily) out of commission and half the party have their auras depleted. In short, this is a bad situation... Again... Can't wait to see what happens next.

@@aidengray4513 Here's the difference here, Obi-wan didn't tell Luke what that Saber has done, plus, Revenge of the Sith was made after A New Hope so what happened was an afterthought anyway. Blake was stabbed by that sword, Yang lost her arm to it, and who knows how many died to it while Blake was nearby. If they kept the sword just having it would remind them of the trauma they are trying to move past. So having it around is a bad idea for their mental states.

After watching this episode, it's one of the few reminders for me that there are some people who couldn't be saved; mentally and emotionally rather than physically. Technically, it was Adam's fault. The only reason there's Grimm around is because Cordoven was busy trying to kill Ruby and her gang, forcing them to take it down themselves, and the whole thing causing everyone to panic. The only reason all this happened is because Cordoven spotted Maria stealing a ship, the only reason that happened was because the radar system wasn't shut down and the only reason that happened was because Adam ambushed Blake...all because he couldn't just let her go. Congratulations, Adam, now an entire city is at the mercy of Grimm, the main weapon for eliminating them has been ruined and, to top it all off, you're dead. I hope you're proud of yourself.

This is a long but important comment about why I was losing sleep over one scene in an anime web-series for the first time in my life. Copy and pasted from one I left on Murder's community tab, but spreading because I trust my instincts that this is important, and that I may be wrong but I'm not lying. TL;DRs at the bottom Yang and Blake killing him, given the particulars of the situation, I don’t think is wrong in and of itself. Yang and Blake, in themselves, are in the right in a world without cinematography and sound track. But we are given their world with those things, and because of that that I picked up on what feels like signals to cheer for it. To cheer for an honestly brutal, synchronised first kill of a person. I said on another channel (Xeroza, great guy) that it felt like the kill was a blood sacrifice...but I just now realized...it was a blood sacrifice to us as the FNDM. Now, that happens all the time, it’s worked on me in hundreds of shows, but for some reason, I detected it and comprehended it for the first time and suddenly felt disturbed. Especially when I know the writers had outs to get rid of Adam in other ways, to kill him in an accident of his own arrogance, or to knock him out through the super-punch (as Junior Xiong was, no Aura arguments). But they didn't. The stage was set in a way where Blake and Yang acting as they must, rationally and even in isolation morally, is a kill. That kill is then dressed up to make a lot of people not solemnly accept the purpose, but to cheer the bloodshed, and to make the people who won't cheer troubled, because there is dissonance between the crowd reaction, the isolated morality, and the fact you just recognized a media magic trick was causing the unwitting mimicry of bloodlust in normal people. Adding to this is that Adam is as unlikable as people come, and so you get more cheers, and the people in dissonance feel worse, wondering *"I'm not ok with what he did. If I cared about someone, and someone was doing to them what Adam was to Blake. I'd kill the person in Adam's shoes, so why is this bothering me!?"* Maybe It's because if you cheer, you feel culpable for something if someone questions the death, and if you hate the signals to cheer, you will feel culpable for the things that the dead person did when you see people cheering. You feel demoralized, alienated, people who hold sway line up to take shots from each side at "hot takes" from the other (All this has happened, on the RT site and KZbin), and the demoralized and alienated are all the easier of hearts to direct. They are hesitant first, and then ironically paralyzed in guilt for their hesitance. I'm not sure if RT proper is aware of the trick, if they were instructed or even just influenced by earlier iterations in other media, but the ingredients are set for a split, especially when increasingly heated ship wars are in play in reactions to the same scene. On that note, It has also come to my understanding that elements of this death were to construct a Beauty and the Beast parallel to get the bees buzzing (which apparently included the VA queen bee herself in a stream). To that I’ll say this. You can have gay relationships. I am ok with that. But sealing your lesbian relationship in the spilled blood of a male former lover is confused messaging (His name literally means “Man” by the way). It actively makes people feel weirder about it than they would otherwise. And these things align in a way that activates the proverbial almonds of people suspicious of what the corporate world wants with certain narratives. Humor TL;DR: Eating beef's not wrong, but I'm not so sure about bullfights anymore. Serious TL;DR: There's a psychological trick being played on us on some level, and its one that makes people happy for blood and repulsed by self defense in equal measure, and that means you have two sides, polarized, missing the fullness of normal moral truth. I can't blame RT themselves on just this info. They have corporate masters and inspirations they look to.

The reason I find rwby to be kindof borong now, is that they arent writing to build a world and we dont get to see how these characters grow, they just randomly get stronger IMHO, the tension and any actual threat to the mains in this show is about as real as faunus discrimination.

They finally developed Ruby a little, but everyone else stalled this volume, and now, it looks like they are ignoring the most interesting ethical conundrum to fall in their lap to make their dolls kiss. Also, gotta love how Faunal discrimination is so inconsistent that it ranges from (4 bullies, Weiss) in volume 1, to Even Jacques at least denying he does it in volume 4, a bartender and some school kids in volume 5, to now literal branding as property.

Cinder was frozen (which was proven to be survivable) and fell down, bit with no sign of her landing Adam got stabbed twice (something that would kill anybody) and fell down into a river, hitting a rock on the way. We never saw Cinder physically die, but we saw Adam die
