@Crystallized I actually really like that because it makes you consider how similar Cinder and Salem are. It's just a shame how badly utilised Cinder has been since Volume 3. I seriously miss Volumes 1-3 when I genuinely feared Cinder and her capabilities. Maybe it's even possible to bring that back with her redemption to Salem and we'll learn how she met Salem? It would be difficult but I'd love it.

Everyone is talking about how embarassed Qrow was to see Jinn naked, but I'm pretty sure it was not that. Ozpin said that the three questions have already been used, so the relic can't be used. When Jinn appeared, Qrow understood that Ozpin lied to him. Ozpin, with his nieces, is the only person Qrow really trust and is ready to protect with his own life. And here, he learned that Ozpin lied to him and has a big secret that he doesn't even know. That explains his reaction pretty well, he didn't look embarassed, he looked shocked. Plus, take the fact that he is also going to know Ozpin's secret, that he somehow knows Salem by the past, and Qrow is surely gonna suffer this Volume. He tried so hard to be someone good, and he's constantly betrayed by everyone, nobody really cares about him except maybe Ruby. This character is so strong to still be standing.

I think his reaction is definitely because of his embarrassment over seeing Jinn naked. At that point, he did not know what the rules of the lamp are -and, actually, we still don't, since we saw in the conclusion that Jinn came when called, even though she knew that Ruby did not have a question. By this point, Qrow already knew that Ozpin was lying about something - he could pick that up from what Oscar was saying. So, no, I think seeing the big, blue, beautiful naked woman was just a bit embarrassing for him.

I watched this episode with my 2yr nephew. I didn't make him watch it, he just looked at my screen and hopped on my lap cuz he recognized Rooster Teeth's logo; he loves RWBY Chibi, so I think he thought it was that. I loved seeing that more emotional side of Ozpin. We've never seen him react so emotionally before. And him defending Leo was great too and seeing his emotional response and frustration as he recalled every time he was betrayed. It honestly made me like Ozpin as a character way more. Not saying I trust him or anything but he's looking way more grey and has a lot of layers to him. Was pretty scary when he rushed Ruby like that. You can tell it really upset her as well. That's someone she trusted and looked up to. The reason she got into Beacon early and became part of team RWBY. It made me wonder... what would Ozpin have done if he reached her? Would he have attacked her? It's quite possible he didn't think that far ahead and merely reacted. He was thinking emotionally not with his head. It's still something to think about though. Oh and I'm so damn happy that Cinder's back. She's my absolute favorite character.

13:53-14:13 I really liked that moment/scene there, it's gives us a peep hole into Oz's mentality in how he rationalizes his actions and lies. How no matter what he does or says he ADAMANTLY BELIEVES HE IS THE GOOD GUY. And those lines right there reveal how he comes to the conclusions that he does, how he says what he does is reasonable. Explaining why he's so defensive over Lionhart, hell I bet that whole speech isn't even truly about him. It's about Ozpin showing if he can say Leo was a good man, Oz can tell himself he is too.

Personal theory time: What about if Little Miss Malachtite is how Neopolitan re-enters the show? Since she shares a name with the Malachtite twins, it's possible they're related: given that they work for Junior, who is also an information broker, it's not too much of a stretch. Junior had deals with Roman in the past so it's possible Neo sought out Junior to find out where everyone is, and he pushed her in the direction of Mistral.

Logically, if Jinn can’t answer questions about the future, then couldn’t you ask how Summer died and have a 50/50 chance of a question being used? Because if you were to ask how Summer dies, but she never actually died, then Jinn won’t be able to answer the question because she did not die and a you would get the answer that she is alive while still not having used a question. Just because you get to ask three questions doesn't necessarily mean you get to have three answers. Ask a question that can't be answered and you might get told she can't answer but that still counts as one question used/wasted. EX: Guy summons Jinn. Guy: what's the title of the next avengers film? Jinn: can't answer. Guy: what about the next star wars film? Jinn: can't answer. Guy: well what can you answer? Jinn: lots of things. Guy: well... Holy crap, i just talked bout this in a different video before watching ch2, but i've noticed something about Oz for some time now, not necessarily saying he's an evil mastermind but at least that he really values peace and tranquility, even lying and hiding things if necessary. Could Salem stand for the opposite values? the dark cold truth, the reality behind the stories like Leo's death ad heroes who weren't, disappointment and the loss of faith, people dying in vain and sacrifice for one huge lie, a fairy tail that doesn't seems to end well... Choosing to know the harsh truths and reality while risking despair and falling into chaos vs choosing to believe in good and gather strength from that hope and in what something OR someone stood for. Maybe he needs a pure heart, Ruby to remain so by not knowing something that could crush and change her bright view and hope in the world and humanity. Maybe they both are fighting for the same and not cause their different ways. Maybe, and maybe they both took very extreme ways due to their war. Oz seeing her ways as vindictive and cruel while Salem sees his as manipulative and selfish. But i dunno, thats just me.

I'd say that you could replace the word "selfish" with the word "entitled." A google search of entitled will give you the definition "believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment." In this case the members of team RWBY are, out of either arrogance or ignorance, greatly overestimating their own importance in the grand scheme of things, and have the attitude that they are "entitled" to all the answers and knowledge that Oz has because they believe themselves to be that important. Imagine an 18 year old kid graduates high school, enlists in the U.S. Army, and immediately thereafter marches into the White House and demands that the President of the United States of America tell them every state secret, all top secret information, and explain all foreign and domestic strategy and plans. That's basically what team RWBY are doing in this episode. We as the audience know that team RWBY are the main characters of the show and will be instrumental in the stories resolution. However, within the continuity of the RWBY universe, at this point in time, they are effectively nobodies. In the show, team RWBY are the main characters, but in the RWBY universe Ozpin and Salem are really the main human characters of the overarching story. So, let's try to view the story from Oz's perspective. He is an ancient immortal being empowered with magic given to him by the god of darkness and immortality given to him by the god of light. He is the god of light's chosen savior of humanity, charged by that god with the task of uniting the human race and ending human conflict, of collecting the relics at the right time to return the gods to the world of Remnent and restore the human race to what it what it once was. No pressure right? He's older than any human civilization that currently exists, older than recorded human history, older than the current version of humanity itself, older than the Faunus, older than dust, and older than semblances. He has been a warrior, a husband, a father, a god (or at least worshiped as one), and a king. He has killed countless monsters and men for both good reasons and bad. He has seen the best of humanity and the worst. He has been broken by loss that would break any man and due to his immortality was forced to endure it longer than anyone else in history save Salem. He has been betrayed countless times, seen good people turn bad, seen people lose hope and be broken by the truth, that for all that he fights the only victory he might have is that he doesn't lose, that he can keep the world turning one more day, and one more day after that, on and on and on. Then, these children come around and demand all the answers. Due to the circumstances they happen to be in a position to get those answers, and without hesitation they waste one of the only two remaining opportunities in the current century to have Jinn answer any question, and they do it to learn a bunch of information that they didn't NEED to know, much of which was personal to Oz and none of their business, with most of the rest being info that doesn't help them, and the very last bit being knowledge that Oz was trying to spare them from because he knew it would cause them to lose hope and possibly abandon their mission, seeing it as pointless. Hell, they might even turn against Oz for selfish reasons like self preservation like Lionheart. Seriously, Oz doesn't know these characters like the audience does. He's had pretty minimum interaction with them. To him they are just a few first year students, children, that are arrogant enough to demand he give them all the answers and secrets of the damn universe, and entitled enough to believe that they have some sort of right to that information. Also, Yang is being a hypocrite because she hasn't told everyone that Raven is the spring maiden.
