Mercury does have prosthetic metal legs, his legs were seriously injured in the fight with his father. The woman at the statue is listed in the credits as Red Haired Woman, so I'm pretty sure they left who or what she was open to interpretation on purpose.

@@bskec2177 How do you know that? After the fight with his father we saw blood on his legs and the first time we see the robotic legs is during the fight with Amber. It's implied he got them after. He even said they weren't cheap, so I doubt he could afford them when he lived with his abusive father. It's possible Cinder got him those legs as a reward for following her too.

@@rmdur7567 If his legs were so damaged in the fight with his father that they needed amputation, then he wouldn't have been able to stand on them. Mercury's entire life before that was training with his father to be an assassin. The legs weren't "cheap", but that's not just referencing the cost, it's that his normal legs had been fine. His Dad had them cut off and replaced with mechanical gun legs to make Mercury a better assassin, against Mercury's will. That and the thing with the semblance is what finally turned Merc against his father, and killed him with those same legs.

Being able to take Semblances is a pretty messed up power in the context of this show. Semblances are an extension of someones soul in RWBY, so being able to steal one is tantamount to having a piece of your very soul robbed from you. Brings new meaning to the line "defiled by a father" in Mercury and Emeralds theme song from Volume 3.

The Vytal Festival Tournament was broadcast live all over Remnant, so that woman WOULD recognize Pyrrha's teammates. Mercury DOES have metal prosthetic legs, it was revealed in Vol. 3. Judging by Jynn's vision, I'd say that, depending how he chooses to live a life, it seems that either Ozma or his current host will just take a backseat and let the other do their thing. It didn't seem like the hosts' souls disappear. Jynn even said that Oz eventually learned to live WITH the souls he was bound to.

I recently started the series, and boy is it insane no one on Team RWBY asked Jaune how he's doing about the loss of Pyrrha, even after he went out of his way to help them in basically every endeavor. Even after he basically went "Yeah i'll die, why not" and then got laughed off.

I remember Ruby saw how he handles his grief by channeling it into training while watching her video. I do think a hug might have been useful there although her instincts to not intrude might have been better, I do not know. And RWBY was scattered immediately following her death and did not regroup for more than a year later, so I can understand. Everything we do is based off of what we experience. Therefore any experiences Oscar has and any experiences Ozpin has should just combine as if they had both lived all of those exact same experiences which would make them the exact same person. At that point each soul would think to do or say the same thing at the same time, so then there's no disputing between them and it therefore seems as if it's only one person when really it's a bunch of people who happen to always think and do the same thing.

I love how they tie in Pyrrha's sacrifice back into the story in a way that parallels the current plot, builds character and moves things along. Also, Em and Merc finally get a bit of development, Juane stops being mopey, and Ruby acts like the protagonist! So this episode gets a big thumbs up from me! :D

This is one of V6' better episodes for the latter end(where it slows down considerably) It's also what I feel is the final closure on Jaune's inner guilt and sorrow over Pyrrha. Think of it as Jaune and co. saying their final farewell to Pyrrha and living on both for her and themselves.

Team JORN (pronounced Journey) Most likely will be Team ORNJ (pronounced Orange) though. I don't like that it kicks Jaune from being team leader... However, I don't see/want them gaining a fourth member - that was only during their time at Beacon so I don't see the point in renaming themselves and making a 4th slot official. They can stay JNR and still call themselves Juniper. Nothing wrong with that. Plus to throw away their team name may seem disrespectful to her memory. I like the idea of eventually having (Pine, Ironwood, Winter and Qrow PIWQ (pronounced Peak) or QWIP ('Quip' sounds cool to me but I can't see Qrow as the leader of a team with Ozma/Oscar, Ironwood and Winter XD And it's not Ozpin - it's Ozma. The only one that reincarnates is Ozma as stated by the God of Light. Oscar will lose himself (and not in the 8Mile kind of way) eventually, be it the unlikely 'duality' with Ozma or completely taken over. Love how quiet you guys were during the Pyrrha scene and Calvin made me bust out laughing when Jaune was crossing the street. Didn't see it coming lol XD It should go without saying that these are my own opinions and I'm not saying my words are fact. I'm just offering a perspective. I follow the story that is presented to me via the show, I don't watch anything at all from Roosterteeth other than RWBY. I've heard it from so many people that they retcon and add bits of information outside the show that wrecks this theory and shuts down that theory. So if there is a nugget of info that contradicts my thoughts here then please don't mind me.

Why is it that Ruby and Oscar are the most mature in this whole volume, yet they are the youngest out of all the people. Ruby hasn't react too bad about the whole situation, compare to the others. It is understandable for them to react in a way, but they were moping for a while. Ruby also need a character development like Weiss, for some reason her development was her maturity, and it was short compare to all of their teammates. Has anyone wonder why Pyrrha choose Beacon over Haven?

I wouldn't call Ruby and Oscar the Mature ones. Oscar hides letting everyone think he ran away and Ruby doesn't really react to anything sure the others got very upset about the stuff with Ozpin but Ruby yells at them like Thier wrong when truly they ask some good questions. The mature thing would be try to find some answers but Neither Ruby or Oscar do that.

Prince of Latveria what? No not at all. Qrow’s North Star was Ozpin and after losing that he became lost. Logan entire issue is guilt and hopelessness from having lost all of his friends.

​@@rasseabreeze6246 It depends on if Logan you mainly based him on Logan and I'm not talking about just the film. Plus, the Old Man Logan storyline came out before RWBY was even made. The problem is that there is a good chance we'll either get the backstory of Qrow's team with him possibly being killed off because why would we get the backstory from Taiyang, someone who is so far away from the main cast at the moment. You doubt the writers that went with fairy tale character representation for our main 4 girls would try copying a cool character from comics? At the end of the day, it doesn't even matter because the most interesting part about Qrow is his team and Semblance in my opinion.

This episode never ceases to piss me off. Why do we have to derail the entire episode so Jaune can cry about Pyrrha for the 40,000,000 time? News flash I’m done being sad about Pyrrha, and most of the audience is too. I was sad about Pyrrha volume 3, I was sad about Pyrrha volume 4, I was sad about Pyrrha volume 5, IM DONE watching Jaune cry about her for 3 VOLUMES. We had a character literally have a crisis of identity, who has the most personal stakes in the plot, has the most interesting internal conflict, RUN AWAY, but decided to focus on Jaune talk to a rando character about Pyrrha AGAIN GAHHHHSHSJHH So STINKING IRRITATING.

Tyrian may have failed to capture Ruby but He was talking about Qrow when Salem that. He poisoned Qrow then he fled. It’s a reference to Odin & his “eyes” aka his birds. Ozpin being Odin & Raven & Qrow being his birds.
