I'm not sure Salem wants to bring the relics together unless she just wants the gods to destroy the world so she can die. She may only want them individually for their powers. Salem's goal when she and Oz were together was to rule the world without the gods. I still think Ruby could possibly remove the grimm-ness from Salem if she ever asks anyone about her silver eyes. :P

Ya know i was first mad about the whole couple thing. But the more i watched these episodes and thought about it. It's a really cool story and weirdly realistic because couple relationships can be destructive in certain cases. Love stories are always a mess. Also I can't believe i forgot. Don't yall remeber in season 3, the finale (i think) when Cinder faced Ozpin in the vault. "She was right about you. So much arrogance" I remeber thinking it had something to do about a possible relationship. They had them in mind as a couple for a long time. It connects. It makes sense.Also the narrations by them (which i hadn't noticed, started in the very first episode) kinda remind me of the Demon and Godess from Book Of Life. Making over the love triangle? In this case it's like making a bet about Ruby.

Ive been going to others people reactions and some people I’ve seen in the comments are crazy as hell. They think all of what happened are the gods fault. Some of these people are basically blinded by salem’s sad story to understand that salem’s stubbornness and selfishness caused her own fate. The gods basically were the effect of her cause. She basically manipulated everyone just to get her way and caused the first people of the world to their destruction including innocent children, women, and men.

I think though that, this is people's initial reaction, even ours. And so for us, we've had time to think on it and we made a video outlining how Salem, Ozpin and the Gods are all to blame in different ways. People really have to keep in mind that this is our first reaction, or first impression, but at least for Hunter and I, we've been making videos all week after a fact discussing and what not. God of Darkness: Commits global genocide because a small subsection of humanity attacked him. God of Light: Not only lets him do this, making himself an accomplice, but also makes it so Ozma keeps coming back from the dead taking over peoples lives and possibly ruining them damn whatever the other person wants. Salem: Wanted her beloved back, lied to get it done, watched the gods of light and darkness yoyo her beloved back and forth across the mortal coil, and in a last ditch effort to die she threw herself into a magic pool of destruction that magically corrupted her. But Salem's the BAD guy in this situation, right Jinn?! Right CRWBY?!

It is still mostly Salem's fault. She single-handedly screwed over the world in order to try and get back at the Gods for meting out a punishment on her that she kinda deserved. You can tell that the God of Light did not fully support the idea of humanity's destruction from his expressions both before and after the deed. But regardless, what was he to do? The God of Darkness's mind was clearly set on destroying humanity, and if the God of Light protested then there'd just be another tug-of-war situation, except not just with Ozma, but the entire human race. When the God of Darkness made up his mind, there wasn't really anything the elder brother could do.

Why is there a with us or against us attitude with this subject. I'm not on team Salem she was selfish (greiving does not justify it) and acted like a total dumbass. And remember also that humanity was TRICKED, just as the GoD was TRICKED by Salem so you can't say that that is just humanity's flaw. I'm not on team Salem or team Gods, I am on team NOT Gods. Salem is already a bad guy but they are yet another "Villan" in this story. I mainly just feel bad for Ozma getting dragged into this dick measuring contest between Salem and the Gods since his only sin was leading a lifetime of heroism and dying, I know right that utter bastard. And before saying that the GoL gave him a choice to get involved, remember that ozpin gave just as much of a "choice" to pH about being a maiden: you can refuse but I might have to give this burden to someone far less able. Whatever Ozpin did later in life is a different topic entirely right now. I honestly want to hear your guys opinions on this stance.

Ozpin didn't do "nothing wrong" he just isn't malicious. And to be perfectly fair all this happened because the gods are arrogant assholes who can't handle humans rejecting them. Oz may be the least guilty party here, but he isn't innocent either. He still helped Salem amass power, told her about the relics, AND was so ashamed of this that he kept it secret from his subordinates in the present leaving them to fight and die for what he believes to be an impossible task. And you know what? That makes Ozpin one of my favorite characters now. Complexity and moral ambiguity add depth.
