Yep. Although I'll point out that the Smith having Summer's weapon doesn't mean anything given the entire scene seems to take place in Ruby's head. Summer doesn't need to visit the Ever After for the Smith to have her weapon because the image of the weapon can just be pulled from Ruby's memory of it. Clearly, the Smith was offering weapons that were significant TO RUBY and none of the weapons in the shop have to be real to do that.

Honestly seeing Jaune age like this is tragic, because he had lived those years most likely, and because of that it's not like they can just deage him as his mind would be older (unless they erased those memories, but I don't think they'll do that) But like it likely means the end of Jaune being part of team ORNJ. But will he become some great hero Remnant needs, or will he never reach Remnant. Once again there's not really a great way to have Jaune continue going, he will always be older than everyone he used to be around in age. He's like team STRQ's age now so either he'll become a mentor like them or he'll die is pretty much the only fate I see for him. I think there was a chance for maybe everyone else in Remnant aging along with Jaune so it's only our main 4 who haven't aged up but even then it's unlikely. The Tragedy of Jaune will forever haunt my brain because it is so terrible for a character to have to do that and the fact that he had to wait for them to arrive is even worse.

Going back to episode 5 at 12:43 where Ruby is holding Penny's sword, Penny weapon change to a dagger that ended up having a reflection of angry Alyx. Me doing a little research on Google, it says that a dagger "is a short killing weapon designed to stab only." Also saying that It is "double edged, tapered to a sharp point, with a straight edge and usually a blood line groove to facilitate removal." That describes what Ruby was holding.

Notice Jaune has a ponytail, and he talked to Ruby in volume 4 and told her that he could pull off the warriors mane, Ruby told him that's just a ponytail and now he has one like this. That's amazing to go back and pull up something mentioned that far back and incorporated. CRWBY is great with stuff like that ❤️

I just had an idea/theory that summer rose will appear in this volume in more than just a reflection because ruby seems to be giving up more and more of her self per episode first she didn’t know who she was then she gives up a “mothers promise” so when ruby finally loses her self completely who else would bring her out of such a dark place than her own mother. Again just a Theory but it would be awesome if this happened

It probably took a lot of confidence for Blake to get out from shadows and ignite Yang's heart. For me, I could just see it when Yang fell, but I guess Blake thinks beauty burns gold and that she's hotter than the sun in the middle of July, which is sure to make Yang's face red like roses. But that's just what happens this time, I can only imagine what the future holds for these two. This was definitely the day they've been waiting for. You're welcome.

I found it interesting how Mr. Cat reacted to Ruby giving away her emblem and her statement that it holds "A Mothers Promise". It makes me wonder if a hug as is one of the most valuable things one can pay with as stated in the auction scene, how valuable would a mothers promise be? Ruby also seems to be gradually giving away or losing all the things that matter to her or hold some aspect of her identity. By the end of this I wonder how much of the Ruby before entering the Ever After will be left by the time she leaves. Will she even be the same person?

Even before watching this episode I had a feeling Jaune was time displaced way earlier. His armor shows major aging and the intro shows him surrounded by clocks to signify time. Not to motion Neo landed much later than Team RWBY despite falling about the same time as Ruby. Still such a cool twist.

This whole time she spoke of them as being in a book surrounded by characters, as opposed to people with a different way of doing things, but now she sees them reacting to fear and threats the way she expects she is more accepting as more than characters.

I was just thinking about something, when you mentioned that Summer was probably in the Ever After too. Please correct me if I am wrong but Alex' story is old in Remnant if I remember correctly isn't it? Even before Summers birth? If I'm correct and Jaune met Alex, that would mean that in between Alex leaving and RWBY finally "making it" that there is a slight chance that Jaune met Summer, even if he never knew that it was her. Just that they interacted together. If that is the case, maybe there will be situations, where Jaune slowly realizes that it was Summer? Maybe she told Jaune something very important, that he didn't understand so far but after realizing her being Ruby's mother, that the things Summer said make sense now, if he combines that with the journey Jaune, RWBY and the others went through?

when they were making the parfait, the cat said "eat too much, and we'll have to shrink you back down again." I guess that means if they were to eat too much of the parfait, Weiss, Blake and Yang would've grown to gigantic size, rather than returning to normal size.

She's lost two homes, Beacon and Atlas, so she can empathize with what the Ever After citizens are going through. And man, people were predicting Jaune being the Rusted Knight, but no one saw the age up twist coming as far as I know.

I think the Ever After affects those who were most affected. Ruby’s grief from carrying the burdens on her shoulders and losing two of her friends, Jaune’s pain of losing a girl he loved and killing Penny and Neo who lost Torchwick and was betrayed by Cinder.

This definitely makes sense! This also explains why the others aren't as affected. Weiss is too focused on getting back home, Blake knows how the story is supposed to go, and Yang just does whatever she wants.

With this episode, I’m starting to be concerned for the cat. He has been giving part of his heart to the Prince, the Herbalist and now the bird, what happens to him if he “runs out” of heart to give? The other thins that makes worry is the realization I had after watching the episode, this cat is indeed curious about various things outside of tue Ever After where the others people don’t really care and he is a strange one, a curious one. But isn’t there some people that say that curiosity killed the cat?

I'm curious if Ruby giving up her emblem, her symbol; means she is giving up her Identity as Ruby Rose. Like Jaune is not really Jaune any more, he is now the Rusted Knight. So Ruby losing her weapon, losing her eternal hope, and now willingly giving away her personal symbol, is Ruby going to be entirely different after this volume? The entire theme of this volume of identity and purpose seems to imply that.

Aw geez! This was an emotional chapter I am SO not gonna lie! I was blown away when I saw this and I just…had NO words! Insane overall is ‘nuff said. But I digress. That Blacksmith… granted, I don’t know if there was someone similar in Alice in Wonderland, but there were definitely TWO things that stood out. Well, more like three but it didn’t become that number until I saw your reaction. Recall what the Blacksmith was forging. A butterfly wing right? Not only that, if you manage to look quickly enough, when she strikes the hammer down and her face alights, her eyes and eyebrows look like a HALVED butterfly and her nose is like the caterpillar needing those two halves for its wings! My guess is that she might have some sort of connection to the tree like Curious the Cat. But I’m sure that was already obvious. As for the other things, Ruby saw two specific people. Summer and Alyx right (Including Penny as well so that actually makes three for her and four for me lol)? The way I see it, when the Blacksmith says when she was ready, she could choose whatever she wanted and lay down her current burden. So I can foresee that the people symbolize a path on the road to who she can become. She can be like Alyx: bad attitude from what we know of and apparently manipulative? Unknown on that last part though as we don’t have her full story…YET. She could be like Penny: full of life and light and yet for all that light, it was extinguished at that last minute. Something I believe Penny and Ruby had in common. Finally, she could become like Summer: a supposed super-mom who had silver eyes just like Ruby, was everything she believed a hero should be, and then vanished without a trace. Perhaps, what I’m saying is, as Crescent Rose describes what she was instead of is, perhaps it’s time to lay that “burden” down and forge a new weapon that shows who she is now and WILL become. And the Blacksmith said ANY weapon. She never said Ruby was limited. Perhaps, using Crescent Rose as the base and some of the other weapons (lemme make some examples) The blade or maybe color of Penny to symbolize the hope Ruby has or had in life The handle of Summer Rose which could symbolize as strength or resolve. And I’m unsure about this one, but perhaps Alyx’s blade could be instead of symbolizing something bad, could show as rather when one must be discreet, cautious, and most importantly, survive. So my guess is that she may come to this crossroads again but depending on what was experienced, she will either look at the path ahead as separate, or perhaps combine a bit of all of them to forge something new to be. But yeah. That was my most overall impression of the Blacksmith’s role and appearance here. What do you think? I’d like to hear YOUR input as well M-o-Birds! Can’t wait to see your next reaction. The song is Chatterbox and some may or may not know and it seems to be referring to the Jabberwalker that was perhaps locked away in a Box and it was set free by someone; could be Alyx, The Curious Cat or even Oz if he knows and been to this place. Speaking of The Curious Cat, it seems it can change someone's Purpose like he did with Hawker; cool and interesting as that is, it has a dark and more malicious side with it being maybe basically brainwashing/mind control. I have already seen the episode of RWBY after the one being featured here but I still have some thoughts: I still think that identity is a big part of this world here, especially with the concept of ascension. If you fulfill your purpose, you are given a new purpose, which would most likely give you a new identity. If you lost your purpose, you are essentially "reset," and your put back to your original identity. Who you were before, as what happened to the Red Prince. The scene with the Blacksmith is very interesting, because like with the herbalist, Ruby was given the choice to become someone else. To change her identity. Penny's weapon being there may signify that one of the things Ruby identifies as is Penny's friend. When the blacksmith offers her the choice, Penny's weapon goes away, meaning that if Ruby chose another weapon, she would essentially lose what she has left of Penny. When the dagger appears in her hand, it is most likely the weapon that Alex chose, and since Ruby is, walking the same path as Alex, the dagger is basically telling her that she can fully embrace that role. Of course, I think that Alex chose the dagger for other reasons, but I will say that knowing that I and some of you here know about how Alex was...the dagger is a fitting choice for Alex. Now, about the weapon that could have been Summer's weapon, this is the juicy bit because it could represent one or more of these things: 1.Summer Rose may have, indeed, been to the Everafter. 2.The weapon being presented to Ruby could signify the choice for Ruby to be more like her mother. 3.If Summer left her weapon here, it would quite possibly mean that she took the blacksmith's offer and chose another weapon to become someone else or another identity. Which would mean that Summer Rose....may not have always been Summer Rose. Perhaps, she was someone else entirely before and Summer Rose was the identity she became. 4.Ruby rejecting the choice and stating that she already has a weapon means that Ruby has not given up on herself yet. She has not yet become so disillusioned or downtrodden that she has given up on herself. Of course, many of us know how the situation with Crescent Rose turns out. Anyway, that is my two cents. I do kinda lean to maybe it being just sorta like. Based off of Ruby's mind that she saw the weapon rather than Summer was ever physically there in the Everafter. Just my own personal thought, but could easily end up getting something about Summer having actually been there if maybe briefly.

Now that I think about it. I would like a spin-off of Jaune, better than stretching the story of team RWBY, just end it where it should end and if they want to expand on the RWBY IP. Make a Spin-off about the adventures of Jaune in the Everafter
