Hey Anita! "Marriage is honorable unto God, and the bed undefiled ". Appreciate your talk on marriage. Everything you said is true. Been with hubby 32 years, married 25. Rooting for marriage no matter how much is changing and becoming acceptable. We have 4 kids now adults and our youngest is 16. Yes to old school discipline and love. Agree with all you said about kids. Thanks❤❤❤

I totally agree on marriage! We will celebrate 42 years in August! Definitely not always easy but worth it. I still absolutely adore him. Everything in life requires work and sacrifices! Some days I want to choke him and vice verse; but I still want him. We also have two successful, self sufficient sons that have made us extremely proud. Now we’re able to relax and enjoy the fruits of our labor❤

Amen to that Cheryl and congratulations to you and your boo on 42 years, definately a milestone to be celebrated. Marriage is not for the lazy or weak...lol, because yes it is work, but if you do the job right, it really is worth it....lol. TFW!

Thanks for sharing another video with us. I agree with you on marriage because so many people enter marriage for the wrong reasons. Before entering marriage please pray for your spouse and be very specific in your prayer request. For those who believe in God please keep Him first in your life.

Hi Anita, girl I’m 100% with you. My husband and I actually been together in all for 40 years and married going on 30 years in September. We have raise our children to respect ours. My husband always told them they are reflection of us. Sometimes I do regret not finishing college, but all 4 of our children have bachelors degrees and one has his masters. We were more focused on them. My husband was a senior in college when he withdrew to work full time. We are empty nesters and we enjoy it with one another. Good is always first in our marriage. I love this conservation on this Vlog. Thanks for sharing!❤

I agree with your statements re marriage. I can relate so much to what you are sharing. Once you’ve been married for a long while, you understand that marriage takes work, hard work. You have to put in the time and commitment if you are serious about it. And first and foremost, keep God in your marriage.

I’ve been divorced for 14 years. But, he was a narcissist. There were a lot of red flags. That ignored. Did I love him yes. Sometimes I want to get married again. But, to the one GOD has for me. Love can be a beautiful thing. You have to have someone who won’t fold through the good and the bad. Plus you have to have balance. You gotta have that space. So, when you’re together. It makes you want to be around them. Put you first, and your spouse should do the same. Because you can’t pour into an empty cup.

We do necessarily follow a lot if ppls advice especially if their marriage is terrible but we take the meat off the bones. We are so similar Anita in our convictions pertaining to family. I feel that people have put blinders on as to what marriage is all about. We are in a "fairy tale ME generation".rather than a WE generation. Back in the day couples stayed together just to survive and then came the "I can do it all by myself" saga. We saw more and wanted more. Jobs changed from men only or women only jobs ( which I am not saying shouldn't have happened) We saw more and wanted more and went after more. The box was open and the ME generation spilled out. The traditional marriage concept has changed but not fully redefined yet. JUST MY OPINION! My husband and I just got back together after a separation of over 20 years and now have been back together for almost 2 years and have redined what we feel marriage is.

I agree with what you said about marriage. Most folks aren't in it to win it and don't realize just how much of a commitment it is. I know that I didn't in the early years. We'll be celebrating 20 years in a month from today, by God's grace. Marriage is a covenant, not a contract or a piece of paper. On another note, where did you get the chandelier over your kitchen table?
@RollinwithAnita Жыл бұрын
That's understadable Anika, I was the same way when I was young and thought that marriage would be like a Disney fairytale the entire time...lol. However, I believe it's the not so good times that you are able to get through that makes the relationship and union that much stronger. TFW!

Hey Ramona, thank you so much and I understand sis, it's hard to step out of our comfort zones. Just do what you feel comfortable with one step at a time. Sometimes we have to be uncomfortable to be comfortable if you know what I mean. You can go at your own pace. Take yourself to Icecream (that's you like it like me...lol), or lunch and a movie, or go to a museum, or visit a bookstore like Barnes & Noble, I can spend hours in there alone. This generation. More parents I having kids and their kids themselves. It's more in this generation than when we was coming up. And then I know more big mama than grandmama. Past 50 where mama's at 35 and 40 now. Single people my advice is to work on yourself. Surround yourself with Well rounded people that have a head on their shoulder and no Right From wrong with God in the middle of it. What's the show the future wifey on KZbin or any podcasthat will help you in your single situation?
