RX-7 Battery Mount & Wiring Panel!

Making progress on the RX-7! The wiring is a little sloppy, but once it is all wired I will go back through and clean it all up and make it look nice! Hope you guys are ready for this week of RX-7 Content!

For your solid state relay, you could use spacers to lift it high enough to plug the connector in.

You need to make sheet metal covering for the bottom and the side of the battery facing the tire, so it doesn't sling pebbles or dabri and knock a hole in the casing!!

Wiring panel is very nice. I can’t wait to see what this week has. Try and film most of it. I really want to see. I am taking the battery location idea for my 79 RX. Ford powered. Keep up all the hard work.

Those are terminal blocks, din mounted one's are a lot cooler but they all do the same thing. Consider a panel mounted 20+ pin amphinol connector for your engine bay. Cleans it up big time.

Why don't you make a couple shims/spacers from the extra plastic to raise that relay connector up enough that it will clear the ECU tab when you plug it on and off?

I’m sure you already know this but the Holley ecu main power and ground for sure have to go straight to the battery not your distribution posts on that board. The battery filters interference that can make your ecu act wonky

Holley recommends that power and ground be hooked directly to battery , not to hook up at a power distribution point like u did. cause it with cause system interference's with other components , and ecm will act up!! Seen other You Tubers make same mistake .
