First thanks for the content and all tips concerning AMD cards. You really helped me in the last 2 weeks to get my new AMD card running as it should. I bought a Sapphire Pulse 7900XTX during Black Friday here (Brazil) for the lowest price ever (same as the XT). My last AMD card was a R9x 290, after a long time with its predecessors. I had more ATI/AMD cards in the last 23 years than Nvidia, but in the last couple of years I went 1070/2070/3070. Normally my purchase decision is based on power efficiency and low noise, which the last generations from Nvidia provided. In addition to that, I normally never paid more than USD 500 for my video cards, and I’m not ok with what Nvidia has done in the last 2 generations, thousand dollars or more is now the “standard”. AMD has offered more for less (I value the extra ram) and I don’t care for ray tracing. I try to keep hotspot under 80C always, and for that I’m normally undervolting. When I got the 7900XTX, it would get near 85C, drawing 350w in average…. A lot more than my 3070 (almost 3x). I had to learn how to undervolt, and I found your channel. My monitor is 75Hz 1440P (Dell 27”), I ended doing the following: used Chill to target 72 fps min/max, undervolt to 1025 volt and kept GPU between 2100/2200MHz. Doing that, average power is 200-250w (it peaks sometimes to 280-300) and hot spot gets between 60-65C (very hot summer here, 30C room temperature). I got the Avatar FOP free from AMD, it plays smoothly at 72fps, 1440p max quality. Why am I posting this here? I saw on your video, your card was reaching 400W, and not much more FPS than I had for Avatar. I know you want to show max performance in all these games, and I really enjoyed the video, I was not familiar with several games. I understand people with 4K monitors having to run the cards at max power, for 1440P I will keep it “constrained” and one day, when I need more performance, I can unleash it. PS: It is paired with a Ryzen 5600x, and during the first hours I was getting some game crashes. I knew it was not the PSU, even so I swapped it to a HX 850 (Corsair) from my other PC, nothing changed. Next thing was to swap the no break (1500VA)… and it solved. So the 7900XTX was somehow causing issues to the no-break, which had plenty of room left. It is something to watch for, 350-400w gaming sessions on card alone is just too much for long term in my opinion.

For each performance number in this video: Consider you can use FSR3 Frame Gen to double it if the game has DLSS2/3/FSR2/3. And then you can increase fos even further by using FSR2/3/XeSS/TAAU/TSR upscaling. And you can increase it a third time once again using AFMF. And you can increase it a FOURTH time using Lossless Scaling Frame Gen. By the time of AFMF/LSFG on top of FSR3 FG, the input lag might become too noticeable tho, lol.

That's not precise at all but accurate enough, it also confirms the tests from yours and other tech tubers results when testing the 7600x performance: *basically a stock r7-5800x with 2 less cores.* If one day i'll upgrade to 1440p or 4k i can keep my r7-5800x while pairing a future midrange gpu as powerful as an rx7900xtx/rtx4080 without worring too much. @Jack_Sparrow13110 ай бұрын
This is the AMD reference design (OC) which is ok-ish I guess.. but pairing it with 7600x was no ideal Overall.. since I have 7900xtx HellHound model.. and Ryzen 7700x.. 6200MHZ DDR5 (30CL) I can clearly say there is around 8% more fps left on the table (RT in most games like fast CPU & RAM) I nearly have same result but like 8% better fps.. nothing major.. 7900xtx is a beast.. beat any 4080 overall (but 4080 still wins in RT)
@AncientGameplays10 ай бұрын
The aib model alone could give another 5% on top of this in some games
@Jack_Sparrow13110 ай бұрын
@AncientGameplays 5% only for high end aib models.. med models below that BTW.. did you use 1100mv undervolt? It's essential & stable in 99% of games.. I think you should use 1100mv settings to get around 50MHz boost in frequency
