**QUICK UPDATE FOR SERVER BROWSER FIX** - If you were on H2M previously, delete the favorites.json file located within your players2 folder. If you do not have it and or once it's deleted, then reverify your files in the launcher and it will autoupdate. Once in game, click "Find Match", then towards the bottom of the screen you will see options for filters and refresh, you should be good to go then! World at war has like 10 players max on plutonium yet i can play a match with atleast 3 people whenever i want. at the weekends it goes higher and sometimes a server is full with 18 players. What a great cod i have missed. have to get back to hmw though

About your rant, that is the problem with server browsers. People open up the game, see that the servers are empty, ALT F4 and call the game/client dead. It is why a lot of servers in a lot of games with server browsers try to spoof their player count to get people to join in. It's why I prefer matchmaking over server browsers. It's way easier to find populated matches. It would be a huge W to me if HMW added matchmaking. It is cool to have people be able to host their own servers to add mods, etc, but in the long term what we end up having is lack of vanilla servers and only modded servers existing and it becomes harder to find normal servers.

IMHO when matchmaking comes there will be A LOT more players, 99% of people aren't playing rn because they see 1 full server, don't want to wait for a slot, and don't want to wait for other servers to populate with matchmaking, say there are 12 people online but not in game, matchmaking could just put those 12 people in a server together, no waiting for slots, no joining empty servers hoping for them to fill up, just click play and wait

Aus players perpetually stuck between joining American lobbies and dealing with like 250 ping or joining empty lobbies with a good connection and being stuck killing bots cause the only Aus lobbies that seem to consistently populate (on any client, not just h2m/hmw) are trickshot servers

dont think so for that reason exactly, (I'm not on the h2m team so I have no clue what the actual reason is) what I mean is it'll download the usermaps and such for players to play on for the mod. yes the original project got c&d'd but the thing is now, it's open source, meaning the code and files are out there so I guess it's fair game? I have no idea the legality of the matter

you would only need to remove the favorites.json file from your players2 folder if you downloaded that for H2M originally, that will break the server browser. once you delete that and reverify the files in launcher, you'll be good to go!

oh I totally agree with you on that, I think that H2M would settle and eventually resemble what we have for pluto BO2 playercounts, usually in the couple hundreds at any given time and it'd be fine to get on and play whenever. Activision is most likely not aware of Horizon MW. H2M was talked about a lot, but after it got the C&D, People slowly stopped talking about it which allowed the Horizon team to work on this without much attention from a lot of people & Activision as well.

The devs got shut down but the game still dropped on that day via file leaks ect. One thing to note I’ve noticed is the call of duty community is extremely scared of downloading something that’s not straight off steam or battle net so there’s a million people screaming it’s not safe when it is.
