RY Cooder is since "" Chicken Skin Music"" long time ago, certainly one of my favourite musicians, he is totally original with his interest and effort in ethnic music, Caraibian, Cujan, Tex-Mex, etc. A very serious artist, one that brings the soul of music, with no big star allures, very modest. A great, honest contribution to popular music. PK

Ry Cooder elevates the electric guitar played with his fingers to the height of an electric piano with the advantage of his tremolo and slade impossible to obtain on a keyboard ... His technique on the acoustic guitar unites him with the greats masters of the classical guitar and blues. Genuine !!

Very grateful to be able to watch this incredible performance again and again. Don't think there could ever be a better rendition of "Dark end of the street" - achingly, heartbreakingly beautiful.

When I`m listening music, when I go to a concert, I`m always learning about music, about my ambitions, about my dreams. From Ry I have learned a very lot concerning music, that means the about the guitar, the vocals, the timing, the way to get a song swinging. I saw him once really live at Paris. A wonderful evening, Enjoy: kzbin.info?search_query=ry+cooder+paris+2018 Thank you for your great music, Ry!

Insanely great, fun music! Nobody before or since has even tried put these ingredients together, let alone with the world class quality we have here. Flaco's incredible, the singers other-worldly, Ry not his best maybe but still amazing, the band solid in a way rarely heard on earth... I freakin' love weird, great music.

Ry's guitar solo that begins at 7:15! It's fantastic. I'm surprised that the audience doesn't cheer and clap immediately when it ends. Maybe they're just a reserved, polite group who feel they should let the song end before they make any noise.

Even though I listened to this at home on youtube, at the end of Ry's solo, I was not here. I was in some kind of heaven where I felt no right to make the slightest sound to disturb the perfect bliss. Maybe the live audience felt something like that.
