This song hits my heart like sledge hammer too the chest. Made to many damn mistakes in life, hurt to many people and let my kids down to many times to count. Went to prison for 8 years, buried my wife and many friends along this lonely road. Got out of prison reconnected with my kids met an amazing woman getting married and now have 9 years clean and sober. We bought a house and a few Harleys doing good for ourselves but most of all my kids still call me dad and tell me they love me. Head up! Shoulders back! Never give in!

I read he wrote this song when he was 18 years old. Reading his life story and what he has been through;with parents who suffered through substance abuse problems(both have passed since), riding the texas rodeo ciruit and traveling through paris france practically homeless- all before 22 years of age; is nothing short of remarkable. A lot of musicians sing the life of rough, rugged "country". Ryan Bingham has lived it. I wish you well on your journey man.

Are you kidding me?! I've been searching YEARS for this song and now I stumble across it without particular intention?! I remember seeing this on TV back then, nearly ten years ago, being one of the first country songs I perceived as such (not much contact with that type of music over here where I live), and obviously both the singer and the song/video have been stuck in my head since then. But I couldn't remember neither his nor the song's name, and it has bothered me for such a long time. And then, just minutes ago, that name (and thumbnail) strikes my eye between all those other videos and I instantly recognized it. Man ... how happy I am now. This just made my day.

I remember it like right now, it was January 12, 2023, at around 11:33 in the morning. I was in my business in front of my computer, listening to this beautiful song, serving two clients, when I got a message on WhatsApp. It was from my mother telling me that my uncle had died. The catheterization procedure they performed on him had failed and there was no turning back. At that moment I felt nothing but a great shock, but no pain. That was until I saw him a few hours later when I had to carry his body from the ambulance to the morgue so my aunts could prepare him with the best suit for the coffin. It was one of the most shockingly sad moments I have ever experienced. From time to time I come back to listen to this song and it is impossible not to think of my uncle. Time flies, one gets used to it but the pain of that loss never goes away. Rest in Peace Elias José Rodriguez, I miss you every day and there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about you.

Ryan Park hahaha nothing in Texas beats the scenery in West Texas, those mountains are something else. The pink sunsets of the llano estacado plains have no rival. What's east Texas? Racism and green trees.

This video looks exactly like where I live and where i've grown up now. The first video I ever saw of his, and I knew from that moment i'd love his music. But over the years now, i've come to realize how much I truly relate. The best music to me writes my soul and heart. I often run out of things to say, how to express how I feel, why I always just let music speak for me. Not everyone will listen though. Not everyone's spirit will find the truth. Too many people lost in greed, power, hatred, and everything in between. But i'll always be grateful for this music. Even this ends up being the last words I ever type. Just know some of us truly believe and have been inspired by honest, down to earth music.

a real song by a real voice in country music.....Man. To compare it to other bands is like comparing a meal from day to day, you just enjoy what you want that day....That is the way I am with music, just love it all.....Another great singer from Texas, and a great understated band. Left me speechless...Remembering texas...

Ryan is a musical inspiration going 12 years strong. Noticing it’s a shame it took a tv television series to get him out there more. You’ll always have my heart and favorite memories to your music…. Etx girl that escaped.

My daddy Frank passed away when I was 16 years old. (He was my step father but he fought for us when the state tried to come get us). Jeff Loyd, his best friend, promised daddy Frank that if anything ever happened to him (daddy Frank) that he (Jeff Loyd,) would watch over mama and us four kids. Jeff had a motorcycle accident on Wednesday, I am praying that everyone prays for him, he has so much going on (sedated, fractures, ventilator, brain swelling, and a bunch more. .... His voice is soft rust slowly flaking away on a once beautiful, shiny classic truck. A dusty throat whispering our small town secret, American fears, and courage. Just wanted to share what someone commented about him on his song crazy heart. Credit to Mr.Womb

Discovered this song about 3-4 years ago. Thought it was about a year or 2 old at the time...seeing it uploaded 13 years ago makes me wonder at 29 years old..how I've been blind to this peice of gold...didn't grow up poor at all..but "money can't buy my soul cause it comes from a hard earned place" just brings tears to my eyes. North fl born and raised.

This song reminds me of my life as a ranch manager. Most days I wish I was back to working livestock and driving big ol feed trucks 14-18 hours a day. It is a lifestyle that only a few love. I'm one of them and it was ripped away from me by greedy bastards and an administration that hates the people that feed the country.

This is the first country music I've taken an interest in since Johnny Cash and I guess, Neil Young. Like a lot of people, I found out about Ryan by watching Yellowstone. Great character. Great song-writer. The lyrics resonate with me. I'll be looking for more of his music.
