One thing is for sure, you cannot blame this on the defense. They are as good as advertised. They “ran out of gas” because the offense couldn’t stay on the field.

Brother, that's what I said. It was a massive failure on all fronts. The D played their asses off. If the O played even a decent game, they could've pitched a shutout. The loss didn't mean as much as 07 UF or 17 Clem bad losses but in terms of embarrassment, this was the worst performance, COACHING in particular I have ever seen from any team, ever. It was so bad that they didn't even get outcoached, they just unalived themselves.

I honestly think the game would’ve had the same outcome if Brown was in the entire game. The play calling while he was in was some of the worst I ever seen. The players were not prepared. Ryan day is driving this program off a cliff. Whoever defends the leadership and coaching is part of the problem as well. I have ZERO hope in this team as long as Ryan Day is head coach. Lou Holtz was absolutely right about this team being soft.
@bradleybisson5938

@@rj_nbk I agree to some extent, but Mizzou obviously didn't think or feel our D was soft. By metrics shown during the game, this essentially is by far the worst. they've played. Our D did better against all the other SEC defenses of Hamas did this offseason, even with their abysmal offense. And once they knew the unbelievably weakly coached Offense could not keep a drive going, they made late adjustments..... Unlike the Bucks. I feel bad because I want to talk shit to everyone, but I sincerely know that I cannot because Some thee letter BS they brought in two years ago

@@ricklaine6583 anyone who thinks Kyle sucked doesn't get he was playing the game the way Day coached him to do with Days stupid basic play calling. And never focusing in on getting top OL recruits in the nation. Kyle played more loose in high school. Running if he saw open field, or slding out of the pocket to pass on the run. Both he and Stroud we're subjected to Day's system of stand in the pocket and pass at all costs because we have top notch receivers. So that's all you do.. what I say you're to do. If anyone thinks these QBs he's drafted suck...they haven't bothered to look at their high school stats or film on them. You don't get to be a QB at Ohio State if you sucked in high school. But you sure do get to just weasel your way into a top coaching job in the nation and suck. One that should have had a Nationwide open call for interviews before just settling on Day.

You're absolutely right . Kienholz has the potential to be a dominating QB. Look up his stats and USA Today press on him. However, Day seems to like making the QB take the blame for his poor coaching and the rest of the team. Did Kyle the same way. What coach just let's a player sit in a news conference after the Michigan game and let's him field questions by himself. And he did so very well and cordially. McCord won OSU 11 games playing his first full year as starting QB and all he got was 💩 from fans and hung out to dry by Day.

Missouri did exactly what any well coached team would have done playing any QB's first start in a bowl game...stop the run, blitz the QB and make him beat you. The O line must hold up in those situations and they looked lost- That was due to coaching decisions- Benching your starting center and O-Line play caller being the biggest. Then the innability to understand your QB must hit some quick outs and slants because of the way Mizzou was playing- Again coaching not to lose. No, no, no. The NCAA and the university admin and the head coaches have made billions of dollars off these kids in the last 40 years. It’s indentured servitude and I hope the kids turn the tables on everything. There is simply too much money in college football at the D1 level. That’s why Florida State is not in the championship playoffs. It’s disgusting. Go watch a D3 championship game and you’ll see kids playing for honor and the love of the game. In the D1 games it’s all about getting to the NFL. The NCAA needs to change instead of killing the golden goose.

I actually think they should have had a tight end in there, and if they decided to blitz either let the tight end block him, or let the guy blitz past the tight end, and just flip the ball to the tight end. Instead, they did not do that adjustment, but just let a guy blitz in totally unblocked, because the tackle can’t block two guys. I also noticed in the Michigan game sometimes their tight end would just let our defensive end run straight in on their quarterback, and then they’d flip the ball to their tight end, and they’d get an easy first down. There’d be no linebacker or defensive back to cover the tight end. Totally outcoached, again How can we see this, and coaches can’t?

I'd also like to point out Missouri punted almost 10 times and Day didn't even try to block it once. He is turning this program into a mess. Can't blame anyone who doesn't want to play for him and decides to leave.

This is the first time in years that I’ve seen OSU without an elite QB under center and it shows. Same can be said for Clemson. I said the same about Alabama early in the season but their overall roster is still the best in college football that they are still able to win big games. OSU needs to square away the QB position ASAP or more heartburn in big games will continue to happen.

Thank the NCAA for that. They could have payed the players a minimal salary but instead they love that easy money too much that they didn’t earn. Billions of dollars over 40 years went to NCAA bureaucrats and the universities. It’s indentured servitude. I’m thrilled the players are getting what’s best for THEM for a change. Big money caused the portal and the NIL. Blame the fat cats at the universities but not an 18-year-old kid who wants to play in the NFL.

Kyle McCord played well overall this season - especially for a young man in his first year starting! Had Ryan Cooper not alienated him, he would have stayed and played last night. And guess what? Marvin Harrison Jr. probably would have played if he had a QB that could consistently get him the ball. The defense played well but was worn down by the middle of 4th quarter. This loss is on Ryan Cooper all the way. He mishandled Kyle McCord and lost a very good QB!

Congratulations on beating a team with no morale because they flat out think they are better than you & deserve to be in the CFP every year. These games are back hands to that program as to where it’s an honor for Mizzou. The back up to the back up was terrible & Mizzou took advantage the way any good team would do. Unfortunate the coach put his team in this spot by NOT sticking with McCord🤯. You stick with McCord give him a chance to Redeem himself after all the kid still went 11-1 in regular season. The Coach showed lack of loyalty with the kids which broke any connection he had with this team. From my understanding Coach and McCord did not have the greatest relationship to begin with. A sad and Unfortunate story for Ohio state where the Coach did not have a Servant Leadership Mentality from the get go!🙏🙏
