I just find it amazing how Tank can judge his and his opponents range without really throwing punches. It’s like he’s in the perfect spot all the time. His skills are elite and while Garcia is a good fighter he isn’t on the same level skill wise. Then the ring iq is just world class. He’s calm and collect at all times. He’s complete

Garcia didn't mix up his offense enough. He got away with throwing that lead hook many times in the fight, but he did the same pattern 3 times in a row when Tank countered him. Thats what happened in the 7th round too. Garcia was starting to mix up his offense in the 6th and 7th, so Tank started closing from under Garcia. Garcia in the 7th, I think every time would create distance while throwing a right uppercut. He did it way too predictably and got countered for it. Davis' patience and awareness in the ring (its way easier to see this from a spectator's perspective) easily caught on to the pattern. It may not look like it was a hard punch, but in some of the replay angles you can see his body rotating into it; it was a hard punch.

Garcia has a HUGE issue with finding guys that move toward his left hand. Also Garcia should've had somebody in the camp to introduce him to a shovel or hookercut. With the smaller opponent who moves his head well, you MUST know that he's going to dip under. He needed another angle to throw his lead hook if it was ever going to land. &i agree with Teddy, you don't lead with a lead hook, wheres the jab? Only Captain Hook Roy Jones Jr is the ONLY fighter where it was used with continued success. MOSTLY because Roy's hook didn't come from the same angle.

Tank has developed himself to be so instinctive in any situation- even when he’s under pressure he’s there, thinking clearly about what he’s going to do. Watch the ten seconds before the 2nd round knockdown. Garcia is trying to exert pressure throwing punches coming forward- tank backs off and says to himself ‘come on, just keep doing that and I’m gonna NAIL YOU’ you can see him thinking it as he backs up then decks Garcia. When i saw Gossen in his corner, i said to myself"why"? As i saw the fight progress, Garcia was overcomitting on some of his punches, leaving himself wide open to Tank's counterpunches. While Davis's corner was pushing all the right buttons, Garcia got nothing from Gossen. Davis's experience in big moments and the added number of fights was apparent. Davis will defeat Haney, Lomachenco or Stephenson, if or when they fight. Neither Haney, Lomachenco or Stephenson have the one punch power of Tank Davis. Haney, Lomachenco and Stephenson KO% is approximately 50%. Davis's KO% is over 90%. Power will prevail. Imo

Garcia throws wildly swinging, wide open, looping, "flashy" punching. This is going to get him knocked out cold again, sooner or later. Davis is an all around, competent, savvy, wily, movement Boxer. He is the essential package for the brutal contest of Boxing. He's short, compact, muscular, in utmost top condition, he punches quickly with little waste of movement or ergonomics. His punching is efficient and launched with lethal intent. He reads his opponent while in the middle of the punching exchanges. He has Championship level counterpunching. He started to chew Garcia up quite early in that Bout.

This fight truly showed how Garcia should’ve never been in the ring with tank. Tank schooled him.

Teddy Atlas is full of himself. He’s always had to make sure to anyone that he could force to listen to him that nobody’s ever going to be right but him.

Why just the jab is my question. He needed the jab of course but he needed to mix it up jab cross and jab uppercut. Keep it sweet and simple.

Because tank was looking to counter. The more you stand there and throw the more chance for tank to counter. Jab cross and jab jab cross, was how Ryan was going to win.

Hey Teddy, about 2/3 of the video I realized that there’s one thing you didn’t realize but we have similar understandings and what you didn’t realize was he allowed Ryan Garcia to get confidence in the six round so he can leave himself open and knock him out in the next round and intelligent box. It will sometimes allow a person to get comfortable and think that they can come back in a fight so they can leave themselves open again just as in round one Ryan Garcia was being very aggressive and in round two and then when he got caught he took a step back. He didn’t want to get caught again so he was a little bit more defensive someone around six tank allowed him to get comfortable so he can start throwing while punches again, and not worry about his defense he got caught again, and that was the end of a fight.

I bet Tank isn’t sorry that his opponents keep underestimating him. 😊

People should learn from their mistakes, rayan made a mistake in the second round and got caught but he got up and he got a second chance, but he didn’t learn anything because he made the same mistakes over and over again, I think these guys get in there with tank and they can hit him and he backs up and then he’s so small that they forget who he is and wtf he’s capable of and they end up going after him lol and get ktfo 😂 I still don’t know if rayan learned anything idk if he’s got the patience or smarts to stick to the game plan
