A Jude law pirate show could also be a great segue into digging up old republic past stories to test idea with the audience.

Something I found online about the Rey movie. It looks like they just landed the Bourne Ultimatum writer and the film isn’t set to land until after the Levi film Hollywood Reporter and Movieline: The news that Nolfi is set to take a pass at the script for the next Star Wars film is a promising development, though given how the past writers have dropped out, this doesn't mean the movie is fully back on track. Despite being announced in 2022, the Rey-led movie now seems to have taken a back seat to the Shawn Levy-directed Star Wars film that will reportedly star Ryan Gosling. That movie is expected to take the planned December 2027 slot that Disney has saved; meaning fans might not see the Rey-led Star Wars movie until 2028.

This could be a hint to Disney on patterns. It’s the same pattern for last Jedi being followed by Solo. Solo’s popularity grew significantly afterwards but it took time after all the controversy of last Jedi. In some ways, skeleton crew has that same spirit embodied by Solo as well. Probably why both of them have moved high up on my list of favorites. Growing up, there were tons of “specials” made. One shot stories from some franchise. I think they could pull a season 2 of skeleton crew with its numbers being similar if they created an acolyte “special.” Strengthen the production team to course correct some of the issues and then release. If it does well, perhaps a series. Or, they could move to more of a British model moving forward. Where a season is only x amount of shows and each is like 90 min or so standalone story. Each story connects but each story is also its own.
