@@gamergenerator2081 If the channel is wholly made by a child and only the child themselves who is in charge of making content, there's little to no exploitation there because you're basically making your own decision on what to upload, how many you want to upload, and when to upload them. Your parents would still have the job to monitor what you're actually sharing to the general public in case you end up doxxing yourself or worse, but over all it's generally fine**. ** Don't put your personal info out there ever, there are some sick people out there.

@@gamergenerator2081 it still shouldn't be allowed if they are showing their identity in their videos. Mainly due to child predators. But if the kid is uploading videos that do not contain their face or identities, such as gameplay, then it should be fine because their identity is protected.

I thought it was 2012 btw, but hope this helps. Just to end future arguments, gen beta starts next year im pretty sure. EDIT 2: GUYS I SAID I GOOGLED IT DONT ARGUE WITH ME ARGUE WITH GOOGLE JESUS CHRIST 😭😭😭😭 EDIT 3: yes ik i "took the lord's name in vain" its called freedom of speech OK GUYS EDIT 4 IM GONNA GO MAD: CHRISTIANS: no hate and no judgement to any of yall unless yall are actually terrible people, but hating people who arent in the same religion / forcing your religion on people is JUST AS BAD as if someone harassed you for being a christian. hypocrisy isnt a cute look, no offense /gen there is no reason to hate or harass someone because they believe in a certain deity or choose not to. a hate crime is stll a hate crime no matter what religion, race, or reason its for. Matthew 7: 1-5 1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. 3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" Matthew 18: 6-7 "But whoever will have led astray one of these little ones, who trust in me, it would be better for him to have a great millstone hung around his neck, and to be submerged in the depths of the sea. Woe to a world that leads people astray!" (people dont like being told theyre going to hell! instead, try inviting your friends to church for a more lovey-dovey sermon, because if they gollow god based on going to hell, thats fear, and following him through fear will also not get you into heaven) Several sources also state that being afraid of hell cannot get you into heaven. Two more verses about choice because yall dont seem to think others get a choice: Deuteronomy 30:19 "I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life," Moses 3:17 "God has told us through His prophets that we are free to choose between good and evil. We may choose liberty and eternal life by following Jesus Christ. We are also free to choose captivity and death by following Satan."

Maybe not for a year but since he is 13 i think he is struggling to ask them something since he doesn’t want them to feel hurt or upset in anyway. Hot take (or not, this is just my opinon): Personally, I don't recall watching Ryan's content when I was a kid, meaning that I have never watched any content from him at all. But to be honest, now that I've heard of the more recent stuff about Ryan and following up on his situation, I do feel kinda sorry for him, considering he never got the time to grow up like a normal kid and was creating content since he was a toddler solely to be a money printer to his parents. And the fact he barely got to say anything in any interviews and that his parents are answering interview questions for him is absolutely fucked. Seriously, let the kid breathe. And the fact that in some recent interviews, he lacks a lot of enthusiasm considering the dude's been making content since he was 3 years old, and we can tell that the kid probably wants to retire by now because obviously, Ryan is almost 13, and it would be kinda odd and saddening to see him continuing to do that shit. I guess y'all noticed that he's got some eyebags under his eyes as per some recent interviews (which could suggest a lack of sleep, I don't know, y'all decide), and it's kinda sad to see that. His parents act like he films only a few minutes a week, but judging from his eyebags, it looks like he films more than a few minutes and that he's filming HOURS of content, probably with very little sleep. I'm not gonna assume, I'm just speculating like y'all are. Exploiting your kid to be a money printer is fucked. Again, LET BRO RETIRE AND BREATHE IN PEACE. And let him have a right to speak in an interview that involves HIM, not his parents, regardless of the question.

No child should feel responsible for the family's income. Its horrifying that we keep allowing this as a society, through child actors and youtube family channels. Jennette McCurdy documents how horrible this can be on a child and how after they're "done", they're lost. Reading what she went through has given me a hell of an eye opener on why kids shouldn't be in the public eye, especially when they're teens. Childhood and teenagehood are there for young humans to make mistakes and grow, but when you have the public watching you and your family's happiness and income relies on you, it can destroy you.

it’s genuinely upsetting because you know that practically everyone sympathizes with Ryan, but just imagining that the narrative he’s trying to stick to to get through all this publicity till he can “retire” is constantly being bashed with people everywhere saying his parents are abusive and manipulative. it’s difficult and isolating to try to hold yourself strong through something/ a relationship while also being told by others outside of it that it’s unhealthy- not that you don’t believe it- but having your fears confirmed while being afraid what said perpetrators might do if they find out you feel a similar way must be so stressful. the internet is circling Ryan’s family like a hawk to tear them apart (not saying it isn’t exactly deserved but i really only mean for the exploitation aspect) and for Ryan being both the cash cow and also so powerless… i know he’s 13 now but he’s still just a kid. that must be terrifying. having his entire life filmed for the internet/the public is practically all Ryan’s ever known. and, well- we’ve seen television stars grow up but Ryan is probably one of the first child-stars we’ve seen grow up through a different platform- a more invasive and accessible kind. and personally- despite starting out as a child who got countless toys- Ryan seems like a very well adjusted kid. he’s mature, successful, and i don’t doubt he’s smart enough to understand that when he smiles for the camera, he makes his family money. unfortunately, his positivity can very well be for the camera. he’s essentially done that his whole life at this point. makes me sad to see him almost depressed-like; the light has totally gone out from his eyes - but whether it’s contractual obligations, family debts, or maybe just supporting family (medical bills etc.). we don’t know their financial situation other than what we see them make (which is obviously bank) so (while i don’t know a thing about them) it’s totally plausible they can be supporting family and friends too- call me an optimist. and i’m not really playing devil’s advocate so don’t get me wrong- but just also considering the traditional values of typical asian families (considering Jack had mentioned them being 2nd generation), maybe Ryan’s parents have pressure on them as well. just like Jack had also said he’d like to do what makes his parents happy/proud, maybe that’s what Ryan’s parents are doing as well? especially if you want to throw in the possibility of the mom compensating for her past actions by being successful to her parents. we don’t know how deep the well goes or how big the iceberg is or whatever but family/generational trauma can definitely poison relationships and lead to (even just unintentional) abuse- hell, just think of the movies Coco or Encanto. sorry for my long comment and props to you if you made it this far. i know im trying to reason this or sound like an optimist as best i can but i mean- you really gotta feel bad for the kid. it doesn’t seem like Ryan will be escaping this anytime soon and he’s definitely accepted the fact that he can be thrown around on pedestals as long as he plays his part and makes money. i’m also just glad that more people are becoming aware of his situation- especially considering his younger sisters. if they had still been receiving as many views and likes as they had with Ryan, i guarantee those poor girls would be in the same, if not very similar boat. just an upsetting situation in general :(
