Just listen to him from 12:50 and you know why he's there as an assistant coach. Admitting that we've been terrible in playing spin is the first step towards improving it. Just can't wait for our season to begin with such great coaches.
@vinitagrawal23502 ай бұрын
If we are terrible in spin then why in last few years we have not lost big match or series on spinning piches before this series loss. Common it was just a bad series.
@shubhamshrivastava-lo4zd2 ай бұрын
@@vinitagrawal2350 Anybody who's following Indian cricket from last 12-13 years would easily understand what I've said. Just look at Kohli for example his game against SLA has gone down drastically, same with Rahul and other Right Handers as well. Our Batters were considered the best when fab 5 played for us cuz they had the release shots and they were very good in picking the length too which our current crop lacks.

@@shubhamshrivastava-lo4zd First I don’t agree that we are weak against spin, particularly this series pitches were very difficult. Secondly, even if that is the case WHY WE HAVE NOT LOST MATCHES before this series, we have not lost a single test series at home since 2013 which included some very spin friendly pitches. I don’t have any problem because we are winning.

I like Ryan ... comes across as a solid team-man !! Challenge will be expectations - 1. Winning the wtc, 2. Winning in OZ 3. Winning the Champions League if they have the tournament I do think that they have to stick with the same template in tests.. 5 bowlers .. with spinners who can get a 100 -- Jaddu/ kuldeep yadav and ashwin. Morne's job will be important.. because India will have usher in a lot of new bowlers -- more fast bowlers but also spinners.. ashwin and Jaddu ain't getting any younger.. India will always have the batting depth..

Indian players today are much more used to foreign coaches, due to the IPL... and vice-versa. This reduces the competitive advantage of Indian coaches. Further, the head coach is still Indian, so the main man who has to deal with press and politics and is the face is still Indian. Lastly, having foreign members on a coaching team has always been there... so as long as the head coach is Indian, it shouldn't be viewed any differently.
