At this point, Boeing will sell the MAX at a huge discount. I am sure they are dirt cheap. As a frequent flier, I avoid the MAX because it represents everything that is wrong with Boeing: Mediocre engineering, backwards technology, shoddy build quality, and a total lack of inspiration. The current MAX is safe, that is not the issue. MAX == Boeing Mediocrity. Boeing has failed to inspire the flying public as it only focused on profits and share holders. Boeing will be studied for decades the poster boy, in MBA schools (whose philosophies probably hurt Boeing) of the penny wise pound foolish company. Boeing tried to save money by cutting corners but instead it shot itself in the foot and then for good measure it shot itself in the face.
