@4:35 my favorite part! 🙂 Little tip, put a slope on top of the 2x4 so you don't get splash over with the flat top. Slope it away from the Gauge. Also doesn't have to be that low, I have it at chest height, makes it easier to read. Nice open spot there. Looking forward to hearing your totals

I did part of my lawn 70% fescue and 30% perennial rye and it honestly looks amazing. For your clover plots if you decide you want to use an herbicide, 2,4-DB is what you want to use. It's used for bean crops but also labeled for lawns. That "B" on the end is the important part.

I thought my green spots in my kgb were from unlevel soil and water with accumulated slow release fertilizer in it pooling and bringing more fertilizer to one spot, while away from the rest of the area. That combined with my unequal fertilizer cover from not using a spreader lol. Hard to say for sure, I got a dog too, but I shake the leash so his pee goes spraying everywhere and not in one spot lol. & my unasked for 3 cents opinion for - on up against the building ground material. Crushed limestone - hard for animals to dig through once packed down - animals/pests dislike it / stays in place. Tends to splash a gray muddish on any near surface but the dusty lime does wash out lower and I did not have that issue later. Again - this could be bad choice for other reasons - I am not a expert on it - what I used where I wanted to have something low maint and tough and could handle my driving up to it and placing ladders on was the additional benefits I saw.

I put down fusilade last week right before I filled in low spots, added top dressing and overseeded, and although the underlying turf is growing, and it's doing tenacity type stuff and looks like a 40 yo's head of a hair (not concerned), I'm hoping it's hitting that weed.
