Drop the high E string to D as well and it will both sound better and then doesn’t need to be muted. Great video!

I love how you describe chords and licks and stuff. Lessons are usually dry and boring but you make it fun to just watch the lesson before grabbing the guitar. Dude! The "lesson" starting at 8:40 is the best explanation of power chords I've seen! I never understood what a "fifth" was (or a third, a fourth, etc.)🤔🤨 It's so clear and simple now. And now I understand a power chord isn't a shape, but a root and fifth(s) -- I GET IT! THANK YOU!

I love hearing different perspectives from different peoples guitar journeys, for me it’s always been a shape and not so much the theory aspect of it. I learned the theory of it later on (about 10 years ago) but even to this day I use it more as a base shape just like I do to bar chords.. I just do the root note, and that’s how I go about it.. I add either a major or minor shape depending on where I’m doing the root, or depending on the type of song I just play the 2 note (root and 5th with everything else muted) to make the song happen. Again all depending on the application 🤷🏼‍♂️

I love this song, but to the younger ones I would recommend not to play it at a campfire if you still want to have a chance to get laid.
