Fishing aboard the Yankee Capts in Key West Florida we competed in a winner take all money bet for biggest fish of the trip! This long range fishing trip out of key west was a first time experience for me. I truly gained a new appreciation for fishing the pulley ridge area and deep drop fishing for deep water fish species. My buddy goes out on these trips all the time. It looks like so much fun! I've never gone because I get seasick very easy, so don't think I'd do well on a boat for 48+ hours lol

My husband went out with them during mutton marathon and joined the pool. Well the mates cheated taking a cut and giving the pool money to a guy who was fishing with live bait which was not allowed.He called them out and made them come correct. He swore never to set foot on that boat again.

Great meeting you on that trip, and congrats on the winnings! I didn't know what this jigging stuff was all about until that trip. You guys floored me with how many fish, and all the different species of fish you guys were catching. Proof is in the pudding, though...so, I bought a couple setups since that trip. I won 850 on my trip in February got the biggest king 33lb on a jig. Pulley ridge and dry tortugas trips on the Yankee capt always a good time. Capt Greg gets it done

Nice job Ryan. Love your videos. Next time...try an electric jigging reel. I know it's feasible to do it manually most of the time...but you can get the jig up faster with the electric. Makes for more time of the jig being in the zone. I have a Daiwa Seaborg G300J paired with an Oceans Legacy Elementus Deep Jigger 700g Rod...with 15lb line...and 50lb leader. Absolute fish killer.

Yeah, I went out on this boat in May 2018. Captain cut our trip short a day, cause they didn’t have enough ice, really. The captain didn’t even offer a refund for cutting the trip short. Definitely won’t do this trip again.

Worist fishing trip ever in May ! With the weather the boat should have never left the dock. Bathrooms were broken with 25 people on the boat. Had to make a mad dash to the Fort to spend the night after ten hours of fishing ten foot swells then back to key West half way through the trip . Never again for me !
