Another amazing video Ryan. Unlike 90% of youtubers these days, you don't make your videos about yourself, it's all about the destination, the place you visit. Very informative. Plus you always stay active, really explore and try to see as much as possible. Respect. PS. It's Bart here. I run into you and your wife at the Navagio beach viewpoint on Zakynthos about 3 weeks ago. You're even nicer in person than in your videos. And taller. Greetings from Vulcano, one the the Aolian Islands, Islands that I had no idea they exist until I watched your video. Cheers mate 👍

Bro I’m so happy we could meet on Zakynthos, that made my trip! And I’m so glad you commented, I was wondering what your username was. I’m stoked your in the Aeolian Islands, I really enjoyed those islands! One thing that I didn’t do that I wish I did was hiked to the top of Stromboli to see the volcano, maybe that could be a adventure you do! Looking forward to hearing more of your travels and maybe we’ll cross paths again in the future.
@fiucik13 ай бұрын
@@RyanShirley I don't know about Stromboli, but Etna summit is certainly impressive. I mean this thing is massive. You can fit football stadium in one of the craters, and there's so many craters out there. Wow. Just wow. See you next time, somewhere 😊

Wow that’s awesome! Where was your favorite place you visited?
@John_Fugazzi3 ай бұрын
I like the fact that when you go somewhere, you really see the whole place as much as possible. This was very thorough and shows how worthwhile it is to visit. There's so much wildlife for such a desert landscape and no crowds. I never knew there were desert elephants - it's amazing how they adapted. Thanks for covering an out of the way place. Of course we all know that there's no way to guess where you'll end up next.
@RyanShirley3 ай бұрын
Thanks so much John, Namibia was wild with so much driving 😅 90% of the roads are dirt but they are very well maintained. The desert elephants were definitely a highlight, hope you can experience Namibia one day! I think I’ll do some Greek island videos next

It would be awesome if all the ancient megafauna was still here. Did New Zealand have megafauna in the past?
@Zealandiascapes3 ай бұрын
@@RyanShirley It sure did, the mammal megafauna of NZ was always pretty limited in comparison to other places, but the bird megafauna was arguably the most interesting in the world. My favorite extinct NZ megafauna is the Haast's Eagle which was the largest eagle to ever roam the earth, definitely worth a look into.

@@RyanShirley I was much younger then! We walked along a beach on the skeleton coast that had the remains of a ship-wreck on it, spent an afternoon sand-skiing (sliding down the sand dunes on thin wooden boards), and ski dived from Swakopmund. Sunrise at the top of dune 45 was a highlight. It looks so similar! Perhaps because it takes effort to get there and around. What?😂, You now remind me of what I felt from a child: never got used to the beauty of my little village down north. Various birds melodies, up to seven or more species of Honeybees tapping nectarines from jaw dropping beautiful various flower trees to produce some the rarest and naturally sweet honeys 😂. Now only one the honeybees species Bite! The common one! The rest, you discover it, harvest it and the bees produce more for next time you come back to the nest❤❤❤❤. Many long stores, but welcome to Namibia our welcoming home 🇳🇦🇳🇦🇳🇦💖
