much better than an entitled white person from America doing it, who believe they know best because they had 1 year in college with African studies or something like that. it was refreshing not being presented with the cringe westerner experience, but authentic people just showing their enjoyment and experiences there.
@inquisitorwalmarius66502 жыл бұрын
@av SCompact i think i have heard that song in german while drinking to be honest, it sounded very familiar. but off course something would linger after all those years as a colony. the nations in southern africa are rarely talked about though, so very few know anything about them from before colonialism arrived. so i can see that being an annoyance. As a scandinavian i also have reaction akin to yours when non scandinavians try to act like they know a lot of our mythologies and cultures from the past (pre christianity) marvel are good at keeping destroying our heritage with their terrible Thor character, the series vikings did us a okay service, but a lot of research were most likely done for that. but namibia did look very poor when looking at some of the houses in the video. i wonder a lot these years why we are sending clothes and everything down to africa when we should export skilled people to help establish better infrastructure and produce wealth ( like helping make more farming area or forests again. im not talking digging the dessert up for minerals but helping establish a more rich soil for agriculture water treatments) and in those countries to help them, not to earn for our own pouches. instead of giving a fish, then teach to fish. if that requires helping with turning dessert into bountyful soil or forests, then that is where the effort should be, not tourism as any place that got too popular in that regard tends to become a less attractive place to live for the locals.

My first ever trip to Africa was to Namibia, this was in 2017. My mind was truly truly blown, I have never seen such amazing landscapes anywhere else on earth after traveling far and wide. Namibia is truly special, the colours, landscapes, the sights, the highways, the coasts, the national parks, the wildlife, and of course the desert. Started in Windhoek, spent 4 days in Sossusvlei/Sesriem (probably the most beautiful place in the whole world truly) - I can assure you that you'll never dream of seeing such colours anywhere else, red purple orange blue and yellow all in a glorious mix. Spent another 4 days in Etosha National Park, where I spotted all the Big Five creatures up close, and even rare white rhinos. Truly fascinating. Take my word for it, if you're ever considering Namibia - GO FOR IT, DON'T THINK TWICE! Cheers from INDIA

I really love seeing Africa portayed in a positive light by African creators. So much of what we see in the west about Africa is how bad everything is, and while certainly there is truth to that, this shift in perspective is needed. It's a beautiful and amazing continent with so many equally great people. It's the birthplace of humanity and it needs to be celebrated more than it is now by the rest of the world. Especially considering all the awful things its people have had to endure from Western corporations and governments for hundreds of years. Love from Australia.

ARE YOU READY? Where will you go when you die? Heaven or Hell??? We can not hide our sins from GOD. We must repent of our sins and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and follow the ways of the Lord in order to have eternal life with Christ. It does not matter what you have done in the past, Jesus loves us and He can forgive us of any sin that we have ever committed. MATTHEW 3:2 REPENT, FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND.
