I grew up in San Diego and I can say that it is definitely a beautiful city for tourists. Once you leave the beach area and go inland the city is just your normal city. I used to jog up and down that sidewalk where you parked.

Hey Ryan you mentioned that you don't like cucumber because it makes your throat itchy. I recommend you stay away from it as you probably already do. Seems like a small allergic reaction, if you don't have an epi-pen I recommend avoiding cucumber in general just in case. Keep up the great videos!

Love the vids and I hope to do something similar in the next 5-10 years like buy some land in the middle of nowhere and build a nice cabin, with a big solar setup and have a cool place to take my daughter at least once a month and build dope memories with my family🙌🏻

You need to get a California Burrito, its a San Diego classic. Its a carne asada burrito with French fries in it. Any taco shop ending in -ertos will have one; Albertos, Jilbertos, Robertos. However, my favorite is "The Taco Stand" in La Jolla, CA.

Quick tip if you want that cutting board to stop sliding around. Take a couple sheets of paper towel fold them in half and wet them. Stick them to your countertop and then stick your board on top and it should slide around on you anymore

Hey , I know that spot well. Accidently stayed there on a business trip one time and it was the best accident I ever made. I didn't actually stay in a van though. There is this super nice resort down the street called Kona Kai resort. The view you were looking at is nothing compared to the other side. If you like looking at the water, high end yachts and a hillside of luxury homes all in one, go there when you get a chance. Its nice at night and during the day. Think Monte Carlo or something like that. Go into the bar in that hotel and have a drink if you ever go back. At night the bar surface lights up. Also, at night they have mini bon fires on the edge of the water. The place is a hidden gem. As I understand it, that place was once owned by the mob and was exclusive to upscale hollywood types of the 50s - 80s.

Hey man, if you ever feel like getting out of the city for a little bit. Mt. Laguna and Cuyamaca State park are beautiful. There is some great disbursed camping up there as well. Take a trip out to Julian as well. You have to get some Apple pie from Mom's Pies. Don't forget the homemade cinnamon ice cream on top 👌. That and Nickle Brewery is a great place to grab a beer.

If you’re ever making sushi with rice on the outside, you can wrap your bamboo sushi mat with plastic wrap and then the rice won’t stick to the mat.

When you initially said you were going to get salmon and tuna for your sushi, I was a bit worried because I thought you meant raw, but you ended up using only cooked tuna and tempura which is honestly a lot better haha. If you decide to make sushi again make sure the fish you get is sushi grade and farm raised!! A mistake a lot of people make is buying fresh wild caught fish because they think fresh means safe, but wild caught salmon is almost guaranteed to have parasites, and that combined with a flu would have not been the best experience haha. I'm also really surprised by how great it turned out! Your cuts were actually the perfect size too, maybe if anything a little on the thin side, which is surprising cause most people cut them too thick haha.
