Here I am havesting some Rye from one of my food plots that I planted last fall . Then onto threshing winnowing and milling. My sister in law baked some Rye bread with the flour and it was mighty tasty.

What a great, inventive technique! I want to try it now that the cereal rye is ready for harvesting where I live in Utah. Can I ask -- what did you use to clamp the weed whacker string to the metal rod?

I just wrapped the .155 inch (the thick stuff) line with electrical tape in a criss cross pattern. It has held up well so far. It will be another three weeks at least for harvest here in CT this year .

@@cttrapperman5555 I ended up using duct tape when I did it this afternoon and it worked fine. I only had the 0.065 inch line on hand but it seemed to work alright. Thanks so much for sharing your method!

Do you have a recipe for the bread? Is it mostly rye, or do you need to mix wheat flour in?

Wellsir , I dont the recipe , the woman folk do all the cookin round here but I will check for you next time i see em.
