Can confirm they do sound like this live. I was skeptical my first time then Jon came out fucking screaming and tilian hit a crazy high note in we own the night and after that I knew I'd made a wonderful decision.
@mariettaconcha31982 жыл бұрын
Jon Mess, screamer, writes lyrics that go with the music, so sometimes its just gibberish, but sometimes it goes with the song or with what Tillian is singing. Listen to Tree City Sessions Man of the year of you want to hear how amazing they are live. I've seen them live, Jon and Tillian are just impressively talented. The band is amazing. You guys should catch them if they come to your area, you'll love them. They're going on tour soon.

Really cool thing about Mess' gibberish lyrics: they're actually made to accompany the percussion of the song. He uses his vocal cadence to add an additional rhythm instrument to the song and I've never heard anyone else do anything like it in music.

Man I almost cried when you mentioned the bassist. He recently passed, RIP Tim. We're waiting on word for the album. Lmao he actually says "checkin my views," he's singing about being social media-dependent cause he's addicted to the attention. "I'm living life as if i'm already dead" is a reference to how people tend only praise you after you die. This is all speculation, but the lyrics I gave are right anyway 😂

Another new thing with this song is Andrew Wells of Eidola is now on rhythm guitars while Will Swan is the main guitarist. I feel like for the band this is great. Where Jon Mess brings complete contrast to Tilian Pearson in vocals, I feel like Andrew Wells is bringing contrast to Will Swan in guitars. It flows well with DGD's style.
@AutomaticDuck3002 жыл бұрын
And I think they were a bit uninspired in Afterburner. They all seemed like they were just going through the motions. But it seems like they're putting more effort into it now. Hopefully Andrew has brought back the inspiration and got them back into their groove.

Your comparisons crack me up lol. Watch the Tree City Sessions 2 for that beautiful live content. Also Jon's content sounds like nonsense but he kinda speaks in riddles. Theres meaning behind everything. They have an entire lore behind a handful of videos.

Dgd has really good lyrics, the screamer does have funny lyrics a lot of the time 😂 it’s almost as if for comedic relief from the other intense lyrics or that’s how I look at it. "He has to check on his fuse, he's running on fumes, I need to look at where I'm at - I'm about to explode right now". "That was said with meaning, like there's something there". Damn, Kyle.
