you guys need to understand that x factor and bgt are ENTERTAINMENT SHOWS - they put through people who are entertaining and draw more people to watch the show... it’s not just a ‘talent show’. those more entertaining, even if not talented, are put through to increase views.

@@georgiethomas31 there have been a lot of questionable acts making it to live shows, finishing high up, and even winning. Particularly the most recent seasons. Why they had to take a break. Let the UK talent pool replenish. Look what just happened on America's Got Talent, and is happening on BGT. Yes these are shows to get viewers, but at some point you need talent to come thru.

If only there was a version of Xfactor for scouting very likeable and entertaining people that would make good show hosts and such like. That would have been the perfect show for Rylan to be on and as much as I love him, the other lad really should have gone further in this competition as it is supposed to be for singing. But they obviously saw the presenter/entertainer quality within Rylan and they continued to put him through for that. Got to give him credit for being such a personable and down to earth character though.
