There's one on Amazon with an adjustable chute that I've been thinking about but I already have Ryobi batteries so I've been holding out.
@Ruger-202110 ай бұрын
The whole reason we went with the Ryobi 40V was because we've already invested in the platform. At least the batteries will get year round use and last longer rather than only being used for 1/3'rd of the year. Been happy so far. It's just an accessory to our Troy Bilt gas powered snow blower.

How long does that 4Ahr battery last?
@Ruger-20212 ай бұрын
It all depends on how hard the unit is working, the thicker and wetter snow will use more battery power. I only ran out of battery power one time during the season and I was moving lots of heavy snow.

Does it work on gravelled drive ways ?
@Ruger-20215 сағат бұрын
I'm not sure if it's your best option for Gravel roads. The propeller/Blade device is plastic and tossing up and hitting gravel may not be the best for it. If it's compacted, I would say sure but if it's loose, I would be cautious.

@Ruger-2021Ай бұрын
@@troypluimer6596 Congratulations, you’re going to love it. Ours held up perfectly last winter. I put it threw some thick, wet and semi icy snow with no issues. Just be smart with it and avoid ice, ice chunks and areas where you may have rocks. Remember it’s not a full blown snow blower.

@@Ruger-2021I live out in the country and have a gravel driveway, I use my snowblower for that but I raise the boots on it so it doesn't pick up the gravel. I basically got this for my deck and to shovel a path for my dog. I don't intend on using it for my driveway but in a pinch do you think it would be possible to tilt the shovel so the scraper doesn't touch the ground.
@Ruger-2021Ай бұрын
@@troypluimer6596 yes, you can tilt it up. There’s wheels on the back which helps control it
@troypluimer6596Ай бұрын
@@Ruger-2021 Thank You! Yeah the wheels were one of the deciding factors on getting the Ryobi over the Toro plus I already had the 40v batteries for the Ryobi, saved me about $150.

@@troypluimer6596 i live out in the country with a "recycled asphalt" driveway so it's much like a gravel driveway. i've always been hesitant to buy a 2-stage full snowblower because of potentially picking up stones. i think we have the same situation and because of you, i think i'm now ready to buy. Home Depot has a deal for a Ryobi 24 inch snowblower with a free 12 inch snow shovel from the video. i will raise the boots to max for my driveway. 🙏

In your opinion, could this unit be taken up on your roof and handle say... a foot of snow?
@Ruger-202122 күн бұрын
I wouldn't try it unless you have a flat roof with a parapit. Depends on the snow type, a foot of wet snow is heavy and will go thru batteries quickly. I am not endorsing you going on your roof with a piece of equipment

So Did You Buy A Handle Extension For The RYOBI 40 Snow Shovel? It sure looks like it. The one they sell from top to bottom is only 3 ft. That's what keeps me from buying it, I'm 6 ft & 3 in tall & all that bending over will bother my back. But it matches your height & I know from what I see in your video, it'll do me Good. Hopefully you will reply so I can go ahead get mine. Stay ENCOURAGED 😜 10:28

@missionscrapprwill7530 - The review is from a stock unit. There aren't any accessories other than the battery and charger. Here are the in-use heights. Main handle 36" from the ground and the hook/lower handle is 32 1/2" from the ground. Hope this helps. I'm 5' 4" and have to bend slightly
