Outstanding diagnosis and repair! I am a huge fan of the Torx fastener, it is such a positive lockup and never worry about stripping... Thanks Hester!

Agreed! And what’s nice is most Leaf blowers and Weedwhacker‘s can be taken almost all the way apart using the same size bit

Thank you for the video BUT you are my hero for doing one thing--you hand tightened those coil bolts. As a diesel mechanic I have seen much mayhem with people using an impact wrench to tighten down a part. It is usually OK to remove with an impact but always start bolts by hand and tighten by hand. Yes, I have snapped bolts by hand but it is rare. Again thanks for explaining why you proceeded to tighten by hand.

Exactly my point, I have no issues using impact to remove but for me re-assembly is always by hand especially when it comes to aluminum.

There are some definite negatives to that blower. Removing and installing the backpack component is a royal PITA! Also, they are known for having the carb studs backing out, causing an air leak. For that reason make sure you use threadlocker on those studs as well as the magneto fasteners. That way you don’t have to crank down on them so hard - potentially cracking carb manifold and magneto studs. 🔧👍

The part number was 291424001. I was able to find it on Amazon. Hope this helps 👍🏻

Nice video, but I was hoping you were going to show how you put the straps back on... I have the same blower and it's a pain in the ***

It looks like they can be bought on Amazon/eBay pretty cheaply try doing a quick Google search and compare the pictures to what you have
