Nice video man. I have the predecessor of this one and I have no complaints whatsoever. I assume people buy these multi tools and use them for the wrong jobs and then complain that the machines break down. These are machines for fine detailing, hard to reach areas etc, and shouldn’t be used like chop saws, or to sanding huge areas. In regards the triangular sanding plate, the friction created while sanding warms up the Velcro material and damages it. Don’t put the old sanding plates in the bin. Remove the old Velcro layer and you can just glue another Velcro layer in place or just do what we use to do in the old days, buy a roll of good quality cloth backed sand paper, cut the exact shap using a knife, scissor or whatever you find easier for you and glue it in place using contact adhesive. It is always good to have 2 or 3 sanding plates with the sand paper on it ready to go when you are busy doing sanding.

Thanks for the tip mate. I did think about gluing some sandpaper to it but didn't think about just buying some velcro to replace it with lol. I will get some ordered and give it a go. Cheers pal 👍

Good video. I was thinking of getting one of these. Is there any chance you can do an update when you get some new consumables?
@TheYorkshireMix3 жыл бұрын
To be honest mate I mostly use it for prosise sanding so I've got a few different sanding attachments for it and it works really well for what I use it for. Sorry I couldn't be more help

Ryobi has a lot of variants. Mine is different as no adjustable head. The blades and other parts are consumables. Saw another KZbin in which they couldn't see a difference between brand of consumables. So you can save some money on consumables.

Love your accent, thanks for sharing. You definitely need some new attachments. Looks like Bosch attachments fit onto the Ryobi multi tool? It's a very handy tool to have around.

I need one of those cardboard cutting blades. With all the boxes I get these days with all the online shipping because of covid, that would spare me a lot of time cutting up those darn boxes.
@TheYorkshireMix3 жыл бұрын
Yeah that was 1 of the reasons I got it as we also get a lot of boxes. However you will find it takes you long to cut them up to start with because it's impossible not to turn all the boxes in to a 1000 piece jigsaw lol🤣. It's a very fun and satisfying tool to use👍

@@TheYorkshireMix Than I'll just stick to my trusty Stanley knife. The tool itself is great. I have had it for a while now. Had removed some excess purr with it yesterday, a simple job but you just can't get that nice of a flush cut with a Stanley knife in my opinion. There are a dozen of other more serious uses of course, but I never found a great video online that truly showcases what a multitool can be used for or what situations all the attachments relate too. When you aren't familiar with such a tool and are a home gamer, than the only thing on your mind is if it is useful for you around the house, how and with what attachments? So someone needs to make a video sometime to give the maidens a bit of inspiration, if you know what I mean.

@@LogiForce86 don't get me wrong it is a brilliant attachment but I find I tend to spend 10 minutes playing about with it and 2 minutes doing the actual job I wanted it for🤣. Yes I know what you mean, there's a vast amount of attachments for it and it can get confusing what does what job👍
