FIXED…!!! I installed a 0.5 ohm, 5 watt resistor in series with the motor, opened the blower, made space with a dremel to install it and it worked, I use any battery and with that small current limiter the battery is no longer overcharged, it no longer needs to be protected, it no longer turns off

I bought this same inflator this week. I have the same problem. It shuts off with both of my 1.5 ah batteries, but will run just fine on all of my 4 ah batts.

So it works on my 1.5amp that doesn't have the battery indicator feature. It didn't work on non 4amp that did have the battery indicator

@@chinoandsons All of my batteries have the charge indicator light on them.

I'm having the same problem with my 4ah.... The machine turns off and then the battery indicates one bar of charge even though it is fully charged and then it'll almost reset itself and work again for 20 seconds then turn off

Horrible design by Ryobi. Works good w my 1.5 and 4 but crashes w 2amps. Big L for Ryobi here

Same problem I try with 2ahand4ah got same results

Call Ryobi support. They will send a new one. It works. Returning to the store and getting another one might not work. Maybe there is a faulty batch

Has anyone damaged the lithium battery when battery is left plugged in to inflater meaning it won't recharge?
@Pro1er4 жыл бұрын
I wonder if it's a problem with those new batteries? I saw a video with a different tool a few weeks ago that had the same problem. I have that inflator and it works with all of my batteries, and some are pretty old.

Good to hear that because I love how fast it is and I'm about to upgrade to more 4 amps

So I got a cheaper 1.5amp and it works fine. This 1.5 doesn't have the button to chk the battery level.

@@chinoandsons Interesting. Just an FYI, Ryobi used to sell a hand-held battery level checker for use with their 18V batteries that lacked the fuel gauge. I have one and it works fairly well. Maybe you can find one on eBay.

I have the same issue with 4ah battery, what is the solution?

Try the 1.5 ah battery. It looks like both the 2 and 4 are having issues. The 1.5 doesn't have the battery level indicator like the other 2
