RYOBI ride on mowing long grass

I bought this last summer. It was great. This summer the battery life is less than half. Maybe because it wasn't in a heated garage, i don't know. it was pretty good on hills, especially going down. Other than the battery, I don't have any real complaints.

Cheers for the vid mate. Next time do normal speed even for a small patch of grass to see how slow you need to go. Gives a better idea of the capabilities. I slowed it down to 1/4 speed to give a rough idea.

I noticed you have the mulch cover on. I just got mine and I wanted to do that but was unsure. I don't want to worry about the larger shoot hitting stuff and would rather mulch the clippings back in to the ground. My push mower does that.

Yeah that was the first thing I ripped off haha. I hate side shoots for the same reason. Always getting in the way. It would probably help in thick grass to stop the blade bogging up. However I've cut some pretty nasty grass and it's handled it OK with the mulch cover on.

@@trufnk I think it’s on two posts. The mulch cover has like a small bungee hook. It’s held in place on the posts at both ends.

The same has happened to me! Love it for the 2 years it ran, but at $1000 USD to replace the battery I junked away ..$3000 down the drain. It was pretty decent, and quick, however had less cutting power on talller grass than a gas (petrol) powered lawnmower.

don't be fooled! Ryobi Service and equipment isn't what it is cracked up to be. My model is the same pictured here and it has been in the shop twice for a total so far of over 18 weeks. it's is less than 18 months old

How is the ride? Everyone says they are so rough. Does it handle slopes ok?

Ride is pretty good. No worse than any other mower. It handles hills better than anything I've driven. Great lil machine

So we had normal speed video for the irrelevant dog shots then speeded up for the cutting shots which were the point of the video. Waste of time.
